You can go to your nearest nokia care point centre (just google it for worldwide lists) and talk to them about it. You might also want to google the issue, as there are a few articles about the faulty covers. It seems that the early handsets had this problem, and when nokia did find out about it they fixed it so newer handsets shouldnt have this silly problem.
I have Nokia N97 & i need acrobat reader full version software for my phone.
Pls suggest me any site

If so then I'll have to do it this coming weekend coz I was really worried about the camera lens being scratched all the time I have to take a picture.

If you get another replacement, make sure you demand to have upgrade to v.12.
i bought n97 & UNFORYUNATELY on very next day it got locked n after all efforts key pad lock could not be removed. So my dealer gave me replacement n same storey reapeated very next day n nlobody was able to find n fix d oroblem! Again i got free replacement! Even though i was getting free replacement it was big hassale to go to vender get it replaced n retrive my data! Before using 3rd handset i changed my sim card as nokia delear told me that my sim is very old which may not be compatible with new handset! 3rd handset worked well for a month n same storey repeated! Now m waiting for 4th replacement! I am totally fed up now with n 97! Co has provided everything in it but not antivirus, which must be provided to avoid virus problem
cool application on 5800 finger print reader check it out

I haven't had this problem but many have. As far as i know, you can send it off to repairs for free and they will fix it.
choy, 19 Oct 2009actually im now planning to buy n97 this november, but im not sure if its good, can any one help... moreChoy, i personally would recommend this phone over iphone as it has more features. But the iphone is more user friendly, it's perhaps a bit faster, and the app store is years ahead of nokia's ovi store. But i think that the n97 is equal or superior in every other aspect. The n97 is the more complete mobile computer. For me, the iphone is insufficient to meet my needs as i want a keyboard, bluetooth, multitasking capabilities and expandable memory. The n97 gives me all of this, and i enjoy personalising and changing my homescreen every so often. But as another user said, you should try out both phones first and decide which one suits your needs.

if you dont need camera then its superb phone.
Why Nokia N97 lovers never talk about their Camera lens scratches???
I also like Nokia but N97 has big fault. its camera lens getiing scratched by sliding cover.
wahtever BAD or good we must talk here so nokia ppl they can fix it.
Right now they are ignoring this fault.
I just got this phone as my iphone 3gs broke after dropping it. I was apprehensive at first as reviews have been mixed, but i'm relieved to say that i love this phone. After my iphone's screen shattered, i found out that resistive screens (like on n97) fare better in a fall. i wasn't a big fan of resistive screens as i thought they weren't as responsive, but the touchscreen experience on n97 is just about as good as on iphone. I also find it very handy to use a stylus, and that it responds with gloves on! Typing is also 5 times faster with the keyboard. Where i think my iphone was superior is that it was faster and more user friendly, but other than that i find the n97 to be better in just about every other aspect. So it was probably a blessing in disguise that i dropped my iphone coz now i have a phone that does everything i need a phone to do!

Both have their pros and cons. i would say that the main advantages of n97 are the keyboard, bluetooth, better camera, multitasking, being able to customise homescreen. Where i think the iphone 3gs is better is that it's more user friendly, it's faster (ram is better), internet browsing is probably a smoother experience. So it really depends on what you want from a phone. If you're a power user who has more than 5 things going at once, neither phone will probably suit you (best wait for n900 i think-looks like it was made to multitask).
This is one of the best phones I've had ! I've used them all 1 SE,SAMSUNG,LG,HTC an the iphone 3G aswell,
but the N97 rules the roost. it has all the features which one wants in a phone !
This phone has the BP4L battery from Nokia , the best battery nokia has produced till date.
I was also apprehensive when I bought the phone as I heard a lot of negative opinions, But this baby just ROCKS !
The Latest Firmware update available is V12.0.026.
Update the phone and it rocks like anything !!!!!!
