This phone is excellent. Its has very good hardware, Its fast and loaded with tonnes of features. Voice commands to include blue tooth, Web, music etc. Full internet. Camera is great with good color reproductions.
Phone needs spell check feature for words not spelt correctly. Hope this is included in the new software. This phone is the I Phone killer
my phone rocks i get to download alot of stuff cuz it so great it is not the nokia n97 it is alg so get lose...hahaha
hey people its bella , ok about this phone right the nokia n97 i have this 4 about three months now and it is working just rite ...... so idk what the complain is bout .
why must people argue like children? No phone is perfect, people have different needs and that's why there are various devices out there to suit all budget types. Apple fanboys need to stop with the ridiculous 'nokia is going down' comments as nokia is still the number one seller of mobile phones worldwide. They have multiple phones compared to apple's solitary iphone, which while is deserving of its 'king of the smartphones' reputation, is a high end device that not everyone can afford. I used to have an iphone but traded it for an n97, mainly coz i miss being able to bluetooth files to my friends, and the keyboard. I dont regret my decision one bit. Each to their own.
Carla, 18 Oct 2009I'm no tech expert, but i'm happy with this phone. All i've done really is delete unnecessary ... moreHave a look at the site
they have official words from nokia employee about the release date for fw2
and the hand on experience of fimware 2
they say firmware 2 makes the n97 much stable and the ram remains consistently wthin 25-30mb range with multitple apps running:)))))))
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2009Just want. To know how the happy n97 users live with the 434mhz CPU no gpu and 128ram? Ca... moreI'm no tech expert, but i'm happy with this phone. All i've done really is delete unnecessary files from c-drive (and reinstall to mass storage), and delete cache every so often. I'm not what you'd call a power user, but this phone fulfills my needs-typically i like to surf the web (2-3 pages open at once), chat on fring, and listen to music at the same time and this phone handles that quite well. I've had it for 2 months now and have had only had a couple of problems with lagging and crashing, which is what you'd expect from mobile computers these days. I do think the ram could be better, especially for a flagship device.
Ive had this phone for 5 weeks now and have had fun getting to know it. The things i like most about it are the keyboard, the massive storage, camera, and that i can customise the homescreen. Where i think it could be better is web browsing (which is not as smooth an experience as on other phones), and the ram could be better. Hopefully the new firmware will improve at least the latter. Other than that i love this phone.
anon, 18 Oct 2009look, i owned the n97 since begining of aug. i have been nokia fan for life, but things change... moreThis is the last Nokia and it will be replaced a.s.a.p
If I travel to sea level the touch screen dose not work, at home 1500m above MSL it is ok.
The keypad is useles than you can not reach the EXIT or any other buttons on the bottom menu bar.
The OVI link supplied causes only havoc with Contact list updating and navigation system. I used only Nokia since 1998 but with this one I made a bad purchase!
anon, 18 Oct 2009look, i owned the n97 since begining of aug. i have been nokia fan for life, but things change... moreWe can turn the flash off in web page and enable aitofill form
great option to let web page load faster
hope the phone not slow down after I load it with thousand of songs
look, i owned the n97 since begining of aug. i have been nokia fan for life, but things changed after me buying this crap phone. yes its nice for the first 2 days, then u find: errors, restart phone notices, SLOW overall, music player is VERY slow i have 1200 songs, takes about 15 secs to go back to original list of songs, pc suite is crap, OVI store is ridiculous, there is nothing interesting there and all the same. and yes it does have the v12 (latest so far) which made little difference.
If i was to chose now, i would go for the Iphone or HTC for sure. this is a very crappy phone; unfortunately for nokia its their flagship. so think twice before buying it.
Going to buy n97 next month or December
is the headset come with the n97 has the remote control and microphone in it?
Is the sound quality of the headset good?
Does it support microsdhc memory card 16g?
What are the best nokia headset that works with n97 very well?
And what are the good accesssories for n97????
Apple will never offer you

Phone with xenon flash

n97 is all in one phone . Better than n900 but not than the maemo6 phone !!:))))
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The reason for that is because there are people with more money than sense. they just fall for the display of the phone which is quite good to play games. the iphone is not practical in day to day life. its just a fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ebi, 17 Oct 2009hi guys.i want to know whats deference n97 and n900???
the price is alitle deference.i am goi... moreTo EBI,
I own a n97 so I do not know much about the n900 except the things I've read in reviews.
Everyone seems to say its faster and better than the n97 better web browser and all.
I did regret buying n97 after seeing some of n900 videos, but now I am very satisfied with my phone because n900 is a bit to big to heavy for me, so no more regret n97 is the best device for me at the moment.
The only other cell I am a little interested in is the sony satio the screen touch of the satio seems to be the best but whats missing is the qwerty keyboard.
I have forgotten the security code for Nokia N97. The code 12345 or 00000 does not work. Please let me know the procedure for resetting the security code to Nokia default.
