When you receive a message, you only see "1 new message", you can't see who is it so you're actually forced to view the message to see the sender. Totally not cool but not a big deal to me.
My battery cover latch broke this morning is so annoying ,,i give up with this thing totally..

so do you think that the price of the n97 will drop when the n900 is released and if so what might be the price of the n97 afterwords?
I believe The Samsung i8000 Omnia II is the N97 strongest competitor. It might be better dan the N97 too. Don't yall think so?
It's a crying shame that Nokia still providing only a 5 Mega Pixel Camera. It's No different then N95 or N96 really! The competitors have taken over Nokia once again. The N95 was the king of the phones when it came out but now N97 is lagging behind in the dark ages compared to models from Apple, Samsung and Sony Erickson. Come on Nokia, please keep up with the race with this flagship model, your customers desires better.....................
I see most current owners aren't really impressed with the N97 just as I am. After having this phone for more than a week I find this phone great with the features that are on board! The phone has great multitasking capabilities and the web browser is really cool. 1 thing I found weird with the browser is that when I browsed on gsmarena.com where they talked about the new firmwares for the N97 and Omnia HD, the videos did not appear! I don't know what went wrong... Other than that I'll have to wait till next month when Nokia has release their new Firmware before I can decide what to do to my N97.
The phone has a nice design but horrible hardware and buggy software!! And the camera cover scratches the lens. Better wait for the X2 or the Satio which I heard are really awesome phones!! And the designs are awesome!
Anonymous, 21 Sep 2009as you probably all aware this phone sucks
n95, 5800, e71 are all better phones with no problemsReplying to the comment below:
i have the N95 actually and it "kind off sucks" to be honest. It is a good phone with a lot of features, but it's slow and can't really compare to the N97.
How can they equip the flagship model wit a 434mhz processor, and give E52, E55... a 600mhz.this bugs me ,it bugs me oh yesss.
as you probably all aware this phone sucks

A very annoyed N97 O, 20 Sep 2009I have had my first n97 for 6 weeks before it was exchanged for constantly freezing/hanging. ... moreyes. its the same. return rates are very high everywhere on the n97 for the reasons well debated. We all are hoping the for the current set of n97 owners nokia does something to overhaul the firmware. for now its money sunk on the device. form the day i bought its gone for repairs. Mine is still under repairs - day 22 today. 8 more days before nokia can tell if they can fix the faults. there are far too many options to choose from rather than get saddled with the n97 or its sibling with the current firmware.
