I have been using this phone for about 2 months, it is pretty nice but sometimes when i try to open the weather application (only from the front screen) it dose not respond, I must go through applications and open it normaly.
what do you think?
If ur expecting a swift, eye candy, pleasure to use touch screen device. Stay away with this and wait for the model next to it in the future. The processor is just so dumb slow. Don't fill 10 gigs of data if u want it to perform normally even with v12 firmware. Sold mine and bought n86, I lost some buck but its worthwhile, just can't stand the slowness of this mobile. Common Nokia u can do better or should I be back to SE with Satio.
Thanks for your advice guys, its still quite hard to decide as nokia has admitted to their mistakes and improved on the phones software versions to fix these errors.
I am still a bit confused as so many users tell me I should consider getting one and so many say I shouldn't
On contract this phone is still alot cheaper than the htc touch pro 2.
I think i will leave it to my wife to decide, think she'll go for the tp2 or blackberry bold.
thanks again guys..
I have bought a N97 and no doubt to say that it rocks....I am a n series lover....but i am having a little problem with my n97.it gets switched off when i dont use the the set for 2 or 3 hours lets say when i am in sleep. So this is really bothering me.Can anyone plz help me out...?????
N86 and N97 are like N82 and N95 8GB two years ago. N86, just like N82, is a camera-centric device, has better camera but smaller display and battery than N97. N97, just like N95 8GB, is dubbed as a true multimedia computer/all-in-one device, has much larger screen and battery but worse camera. Just like N82 and N95 8GB, everything else between N86 and N97 is pretty much the same except the camera, form-factor, screen, mass memory and battery.
Is anybody experiancing some scratched on the camera lense? from the slide???
if somebody knows if there is any SB from Nokia concerning this issue and if it is covered on the warranty.
k geek, 24 Aug 2009i will die for this phone.. i luv n97What happens when Nokia release the N900...
...you can only die once.
Who ever would have thought that the number one CAMERA uploading to Flickr would be a phone.
Well done iPhone it's obvious that the camera does an excellent job without marketing bells and whistles.
Gee those forums on the N97 don't seem to be full of very happy people, I guess Nokia is paying for their mediocraty.
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2009I need a maid for my NY apartment is she available ?u are a typical redneck seppo that doesn't have a clue, stuck in your little insular world. Filipinas are beautiful.

I HAVE THIS PHONE
had it for a month. my problems are
*bad signal/reception/coverage. compared to my N95 8GB it has like 60% of reception power
*GPS is really bad, keeps losing signal and has delay of 100-200 metres, im now using my old bluetooth GPS receiver because the built it one is not accurate at all.
*finally got a big scratch on my lens, although i have been very carefull with it, i.e. cleaned it everyday, opened it with finger nail and not putting pressure on it.
apart from these its a good phone but these problems really puts me off this phone.
im a nokia fan but i advice you not to get this phone. nokia needs to learn a lesson.
have a look here, this is nokia's forums and see everyone got these problems too
have a look here too
From the opening of the box, the phone was always going to be full of glitches and bugs. Widgets wouldn't work, memory full, and unnecessary restarts due to lag.
If you try and change the alarm clock ringtone the phone struggles to do this. Infact if you try it now I bet it's impossible!! I tried it with both of my N97's.
Yes that is correct. I had 2 of them. Th first one broke in 1 day. Wouldn't turn on. No idea why, just wouldn't power on.
Second broke after the update. No widgets were loading, the phone's USB cable and connectivity software wouldn't deeming it useless to me.
After my encounter with the second phone and countless restarts due to faults and lags, I eventually changed to the E Series (E75) and there is no way I am looking back until the N900 is out. REAL touchscreen OS is needed. Not Symbian.
Ok guyz lets clear out a couple of things;
iphone: what tha f..k is sooo great about this phone?!, these bichiz have been around for 2 or 3 year, they've made 3 phones which are exactly tha same, the thing thats really quite illogical is tha fact that soo many looser have dissieved themselves soo pathetically: i mean only tha piese that connects your SIM card to tha shit phone costs 90$, iphone is steallin money like crazy!, forget tha illusion that tha phone is cheap, that only on the price tag in reallity youre spending much more than the price of a nokia n97 or an omnia hd or any other monster thats gonna come out in the future!, even if tha iphone' pice drops down to 100$ in reallity you'll be spending much more than that, this phone is like an investmen in tha consumer, they sell a product thats gonna consume you a whole year, untill you get the next one... & so on, be that from accesories/apps/or even stupid shit like tha sim card shit. just a little reallity flash for you smart ass biches.
nokia, sony, they've been araound for a long time, yes they are expensive, but they last longer, thats the idea, you pay and you enjoy what you get, iphone has introdused new things to the market, but their products come with a very long-term price tag, which basically is unfair.
Just something to think about:)
