let me get the facts right and clear, symbian caters to the multi-user market, lower processor speed might mean lesser power consumption. Future firmware updates would always be a plus to tweak or improve system stability on the overall programs and applications that came default with the phone. Don't forget this phone is flash lite 3.0 enabled and 3.1 is out already. If you're gamer this phone is for you, if you are a remote control enthusiast, this phone is for you, if you're face book user this phone is for you..we are talking about countless possibilities, you can be sure there will be applications that people made around the world that really rocked the n95 last time, you can expect this phone to do the same. If you are going to convert HD videos into 3GP format using winavi, you'll get the same quality as the latter and with the monstrous max size of up to 48GB, imagine you can store how many quality video with this babe and playing it back while travelling with a bluetooth headset. Even if you are not sure you're going to get used to the Qwerty keyboard, you're bound to fall in love with this phone. Besides with removable batteries means you can swap batteries whenever you need more power on the go without impending on your beautiful summer trip. Focus on every options and functions that it got to offer, you'll surely find something good. And I'm going to use fring and get clear free 3G calls over this phone just as the e71. I'm getting this phone tomorrow and this phone is going to be my Geo-tagging phone for any oversea trips im gonna make in the future, alta la vista.
i got this phone over the weekend and my only complaint is the that the space bar is placed strangely to the right compared to other qwerty phone. All in all a BRILLIANT phone
excuse me can everybody that use N97 tell me about it sound.it is better that N96??
I thought these reviews were about the Nokia N97, not about picks of girls. But i guess the iPhone is also a part of this review too. Still, go Nokia. Not the "OverRated iPhones".
Anonymous, 27 Jun 2009buy n97I'm proud to say that i'm an X1i Xperia user i've had the Xperia the day it came out never had any problems its currently running on the latest software R3AA013 its got a better finish then the n97 camera quality doesn't mean nothing its all about the applications also the n97 has a huge internal flash memory & if you're going to get a huge external memory. when the memories hit together it'll clash how do I no? its so obvious I work for nokia i've had nokia & sony ericsson handsets but feel nokia are going down hill with such rubbish built handsets & copying sony ericsson with ideas the only nokia that made nokia big by name N95 or the 8gb since then copied sony ericsson with designs the K850i & Xperia are fresh examples nokia have copied but were successful with Xperia copy They did the feature from K850i which was when the handset tilted the screen tilted the n95 & 8gb & ever since been copied N97 was a complete flop as its ribbon is visible why make such an appauling handset which has a visible ribbon also can be damaged very easily also slide can be damaged very easily. and the applications on xperia are amazing also its running on windows mobile 6.1 where as nokia never made a windows mobile only recently they have introduced touch screen handsets by the way the N97 isn't a full touch screen handset its only the 5800 because n97is touch screen from the sides. buy X1 Xperia not N97
it's simply mind-blowing mobile........i'm getting all the functions that i wanted.......
simply the best!
You lot are so petty. iPhone is a better phone FACT. But the N97 has a far better camera and is open if you like to be able to google search something and whack it on. To some people they like that, so who cares, I will continue to purchase iPhones till I find something I prefer, but I can understand the appeal of this phone to some. But I warn you, I work in a phone shop, this phone is a nightmare maybe head towards E71... Now thats a good phone.
amroze, 28 Jun 2009hello ladies and gents just got the n 97 in white with 24k gold wow looks totaly unique rare ... moreeh amroze, not all of us are pimps with 3kg of bling hanging round our necks either so the black / white thing's not that important but imo black is classy, white is cheap for that....well you know...pimp look
got my black n97 for 5days now im falling in love with it though d battery is 1day only but im conserving energy for it by disabling d sensors and vibrate also d online update. But i think nokia should make software update to address this.
Cassandra, 29 Jun 2009iphone users get out and stop provoking people in here. So you are the kind of people that use... moreI like the way Nokia pays tribute to the iPhone by copying the look of the steel bezel, of course the hardware inside is no match for the 3GS but overall a pretty good imitation, kind of like a child's drawing.
how do you edit or cut text from the web in n97, so you can paste it and then send as sms message.. thanks.. btw only problem of n97 is the battery.. only one day..
whats the build quality like on the N97, is it made from plastic or metal like the sony X1?
iphone users get out and stop provoking people in here. So you are the kind of people that use the iphone. You utterly disgust me. That is the arrogance of apple and their users. No wonder nokia users don't want to use an iphone besides it not having everything nokia users want. Iphone users are selfish and inconsiderate of other people.
Get a life.
SymbianWorld, 28 Jun 2009Here some pictures of the N97: http://symbianworld.org/1614-nokia-n97-image-gallery/Thanks for the pics!
Here some pictures of the N97:
I want to switch phones from Nokia N95-4 to a touch screen... What I'm looking for in a phone is to be on 3g 24-7 like the iPhone. It annoyed by Nokia; you have sign in everytime you want to send or recieve e-mails. Is the N97 instant?
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970even though there are good qualitys about the iphone i say the things that are true and i back up everything i say and when people can't fight fair against me they have to attack my family.
