"The S5PC100 enables the integration of various functionalities, such as, wireless communication, personal navigation, camera, portable gaming, portable music/video player, mobile TV and PDA into one device," the South Korea-based electronic maker says in a PDF published to its website. "The S5PC100 adopts a 32-bit ARM Cortex A8 RISC microprocessor and a 64/32-bit internal bus architecture, and operates up to 833MHz."
Putting this up against the N97 is like putting Godzilla (Nissan Skyline) against a Kia on a racetrack...
...the N97 would be a rapidly disappearing speck in the rearview mirror.
Love this phone just got it. I have an iphone and n97, and the web browsing experience I say is the same as the iphone now. 5800 my previous sucked! everything good, happy with my purchase
2 guys at my workplace own the iphone 3g. The 1 guy plays with it a lot. I asked the other guy, do you go on the internet much(since he has a data plan) and he "said once in a while. eh, novelty wore off." He's only had it 3 weeks.
Sounds like buyers remorse to me.
rg, 20 Jun 2009c´mon guys. Once you own an iphone you never want to go backOnce you own a nokia, you never want to go back!
i've been playing with this phone for the last two weeks and i have to say that the camera on this phone is really fast. is like the image are recorded real time so once you snap the picture you dont need to hold your position.
Its a complete n compact cell phone, could've been better though. Price is way too high.
mueed1508, 19 Jun 2009why it is'nt 8.mega pixel this is only weakness"why it is'nt 8.mega pixel this is only weakness"
Yeah right and what kind of lens do you thing can produce image on 8 mp sensors? 5 mp is too much for this lens can probable separate only 3-4 mp more than that only produces more nose and consumes power.

M1DAS, 19 Jun 2009just got my n97 today in black and i have to admit ive fallen in love with it already. Anyone ... moreHi M1das,
I was also fortunate enough to play with one this week at work. A lucky colleague of mine got his on Wednesday. The phone is truely remarkable and I was quite jealous. I love the FM transmitter feature - we played MP3's for the whole office. It feels solid and well made - I only have 2 weeks left till I get one of my own. Can't wait!.
P.S. Did you test out the browser? I did not get chance to test it.
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009I can make all the comments i want about this N97, I had it in my hands today at the Swisscom ... more3Yyt - no one is denying your right to make your comments and either like or dislike a phone. It is just that after the 300th repeat of the same old story it gets a bit tedious. We kinda get your drift - so what now? Where from from here? You don't like the OS, you don't like the keybord, you don't like the CPU, ypu don't like the memory etc etc. You have said it over and over again? What now? What is the next step? Will you singlehandedly have the N97 recalled and redesigned? Will you have all the hundreds of thousands of N97 fans change their mind?
I am truely interested in understanding why anyone would repeat himself like this? Do you get paid to do this? You may hate the phone, but ironically you seem to be the human being that is the most obsessed with this device. You have helped the Nokia N97 become the most discussed mobile phone in GSM history...
price should be under $500.00
also too late in market
but its gr8 phone...
nokia always rock
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009Btw unfortunately Iphone fans, only speed that o2 allows is up 3.6mbps UNLUCKYI get 7.2Mbps with Swisscom including tunnels and mountain passes..
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009Good luck to outsell N95 alone, which has sold well above 20 mill already. Just admit it, noth... moreYou probably live on the moon, Symbian is dead and Mac OS + Appstore and Itunes are ripping Nokia smartphones apart sorry
why the camera is not 8 mega pixel? yeah this is realii weakness and there is nothing new in this.
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009Maybe you should not LOL : iPhone 3G S Launch Sales to Exceed 3G Launch. Friday June 19, 200... moreGood luck to outsell N95 alone, which has sold well above 20 mill already. Just admit it, nothing will ever catch up with the amazing Symbian sales...
Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009I have an N95 and I'm thinking of buying this phone. Is it worth that change? From what I'm se... moreLG Crystal is completly incompatible with N95 apps. If you've a lot of important stuff on your phone, then N97 would be the best pick, as it is the most compatible one. Nokia software is another reason.
Generally, I'd say N97 is better software wise, but Omnia HD is better hardware wise. LG Crystal has a nice design, but nothing more. Satio is still ages away from release. N97 has some sweet spots like the 32GB internal memory and full QWERTY-keypad, but Omnia HD has HD-recording and other stuff as well.
It's a pretty hard choise. If you don't find any clear winner, then you should at least wait until September, when the next wave of phones will be announced, and then we might have a clear winner.
