Nokia has a lot of past, starting from the first N series, to have given a lot of features but let it go to waste due to a lot of troubles it gives in return. Sony is the best. Less features but more dependable.

i wanna buy this phone but im 67euro less
Nokia is seriously driving me up the wall. I don't know wtf it is, but I suspect they spent so much time developing this phone that by the time they were finished they ended up way behind the curve. 128 megs ram, 434mhz proc and 3.6Mbps 3G??? WTF? E55 is going to have 2x the ram, better proc and 3x the 3G speed!!! I bought an N95 more than 2 years ago. 64 megs of ram meant lots of crashing and closing of apps. Paid good money back then, won't fall for it this time. I'm betting they come out with a -2 or some BS version with more ram and a better proc and 3G in 4 months or so. They better...
Just got the phone yesterday. Its marvellous. Got the version with CWM. Its really a great device, look at it as a successor to the e90 communicator. The speed is superb and easy to use/navigate. Battery life seems promising (havent tested this out) since its using the e71 battery too.
The white looks more elegant than the black. maybe bcoz the black is not glossy finishing. The key selling point is that the OS simply easy to use and customizable. Its a really good smart/pda phone. I would say one of the best in its class. The Omnia HD and Satio might come close but they may not have this level customization and applications to run with.
I agree, HTC is good competitor too with their Diamond 2 and HTC Touch HD. But the symbian OS is certainly more stable. Cheers!
can anyone tell me how the speakers sound, are they as good as the n95

al, 12 Jun 2009How is OVI support for N97 compared to app store for i phone? Skyscape(medical software does n... moreI had a few problems with my e70 pairing but it's cause i wasn't doing properly since there is a different way to pair with every B/T headset you should know that already
How is OVI support for N97 compared to app store for i phone? Skyscape(medical software does not support symbian ver5 whereas it does windows, iphone and symbian ver3. is this just a matter of time. Has any one tried to pair N97 with blue tooth car? I always had problem with my N95 but no issues with I phone. I miss my N95 (real smart phone) since i changed to I phone but I am enjoying the smooth pairing with my Bmw and my very good medical software. please answer my questions if you know the answers. thanks for the support
M1DAS, 12 Jun 2009i just want to clarify a quick point to those saying the n97 is slow only because it has a ARM... moreThanks for the spark lol but as well as everyone was stating that the n97 is slow i also brought up a good point that if the iphone 3g and n97 use the same cpu the ARM 11 and both use 128mb of ram how and how the symbian is optimized for mobile use only how would it be slow at all lol the n97 is techically faster then the iphone which they were competing against and then the 3gS popped out of no were with little spec improvements
posting this from the n97. Phone is not slow at all! Still playing around with it, like a kid at Christmas!
Average with no good feature but the battery is damn good i can surf thd web for more time than i used to do in n95 . I advise you not to buy this phone better go for S E idou B¤J
hello everybody... i bought this phone today, it cost 1400 USD in my country... very expensive, isnt it? ... well the phone is awesome! ITS NOT SLOW! its fast, the perfect phone
i just want to clarify a quick point to those saying the n97 is slow only because it has a ARM11 434MHz cpu and 128mb ram. have you not thought that maybe it uses a lot less ram than it actually has therefore would still function really quick? Mizuchi made a point saying that they will probably release an update for it over FOTA (Firmware Over The Air). i remember one of the first n95 firmware updates i ever done reduces ram usage and sped my phone up.
ANYWAY with that said I'll be going in to the Nokia retail store on Regent Street (London) tomorrow and testing it out myself. then im gonna buy it when its officially on sale in the uk on the 19th!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970how about document editing? Connecting to wireless keyboard? Why should waste dollar and cent? If it just can take out the memory card and transfer it via memory card reader? Have u send any of ur phone for repair? What if inside ur phone had a classified data? That's why we need the memory card slot. Just take it out and keep in ur wallet. As simple as that. Are you sure the iphone is made for business purposes? Sure enough? I think u still didn't answer how to change the battery yet because at least i have a spare in case i didn't bring along the charger on site visiting. How did u do a video conference using iphone? Dude... The other thing u need to know is... I like it i used it. I don't like it, i give it to others. For certain level in my company, they give us a handphone allowance. Just buy what even phone we want. Why can't i give it to my staff for free? It is because of the price? Or it's the most sophisticated phone on earth? I have using hp ipaq, xda, palm, nokia, sony ericsson, motorola and plus iphone. If u are talking about the touch technology, i already used it since 2001. Some of them a broken and some of them i just give it to other because i want to buy a new one.
