some cons for me :
The weight of 150 grams. To heavy!
poor camera with only 5 MP, to less for a high end phone like this.
to me it is overvalued,
Probably just another phone with lots of bugs because its actually released to early. Not the hardware of course.Unfinnished release of the firmware.
Just like the N85, with its rebooting problems when charging.
Just like the Nokia N95 was in the beginning.
And like the N85 , and E75.
When you want a reliable phone.Just wait for another 6 monthe after the release of this device.
Or buy an other phone/brand.
Just my opinion
this phone will be outdated when its released.samsung will rule 2009
Jalal, 05 Jun 2009Can anybody advise why Nokia or SE not introducing dual sim cards phones?????Because SE and Nokia are smart due to the fact that dual SIM card phones arent stable because the phone has to recognize 2 seperate carriers at once and each carrier has its own settings therefore messing with the phones functionality.
man..just saw a hands-on at engadget, this phone is so cheap..plastic all over the way, creaky sounds, unresponsive interface..and that keyboard with only 3 rows of keys, this phone is a waste of time! nokia, you're out of business!
THE FINAL N97,
THE Scroll bar in the menu and list is ugly!!!
it has scrobar and flicf scroll in only ovi store and web browser!
why not implement it all over the OS?
this phone sucks big time....dont ever buy this phone...it is too slow and battery backup is also not good...
reistive screen is hard to use, have much more better sides over reisitve
easy to use
enough for me, and i really caNT SEE THE bad sides of it
how can a leading mobile phone manucfacture not release a capacitive phone??
and multitpouch techpnoly
LG AND Palm can have multitouch, why cant nokia?
the best phone right now is n97,all phone fans wait to get this phone.the dizajn is sooo.. nice.ram and procesor for me is good.4 better ram and cpu i have my laptop.thnx nokia.good job.
Nokia is resistive king
Apple is capacitive king
more and more asians prefer capacitive, Time for nokia to care about their customers who prefers capacitive technology1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
btw, i can type chinese character fast on iphone and on thier virtiual screen, much faster than on 5800XM :)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970lol sure, lots of new phones are coming out that are better than the n97 in terms on processor speed and RAM memory. Which one of those phones have a slide out qwerty?

Here are some other not conf... moreif that information is true, N97 have built-in office editor.. well let's wrap things up! This really is a compact package of multimedia and business phone, and I'm going to buy it no matter what iboy might say in this N97 forum. I wouldn't bother to go to their forum, but they are flocking here.. what's that? it's a clear sign of jealousy, hahaha...
Icare, 05 Jun 2009I don't care the lack of gpu and faster CPU( battery power last longer) Resistive screen ... moreSkip the Iphone, as you'll have to wait till 2013 for Xenon flash. As for N97, it's an overall device, which is good overall, but not in any specific areas, such as camera. The memory is good, and possibly the CPU if the S60blog is right.
According to the S60blog, N97 will have a built-in Office editor. Here are some other not confirmed specs written by them:
> ARM11 MpCore with 4 cores (Technically 4 CPUs on a single chip) up ot 528 mHz
for better 3D scenes & 3D games and to get higher FPS (Frames per Second)
> 192 MB SDRAM
> 256 MB storage memory (ROM)
