meng, 27 May 2009hi i want to ask you n97 the price around 1200$.thankswell yes released yasterday for 1244$ in hongkong u can order it from ipmart.com for that price
Fonebox.com, 27 May 2009I may be wrong, but if the N97 had a) A slightly higher resolution OMLED display b) HD (702P) ... moreI agree with all that you said, except for one thing, the d-pad, I think it's great to have the d-pad where it is, because anywhere else it takes up screen real estate, the FIRST thing you notice about this phone (and other flagship phones) is the size of the screen.
i think a higher res camera (video and still) would be great, with xenon, but I will not judge it until I have a go, as I am aware that resolution is not everything.
Couldn't agree more with thescreen though, and multi touch support would have been awesome, even still, I think this phone is the pick of the bunch and will definately be my next.
hani, 27 May 2009n97 released in hongkong yasterday but the price too expensive around 1200$ .hi i want to ask you n97 the price around 1200$.thanks

n97 released in hongkong yasterday but the price too expensive around 1200$ .
when the N97 is coming up, then will we see if its better than I-phone or not. You people are talking about this phone and judging it like it has been on the market for at least a month now, c`mon, you cant possible know how good this phone is??? You can speculate about it, but not judge it.
I THINK this phone, mark my word i THINK, this phone will make a huge success, and it will least a while on the market and in peoples choises....
If I copy a game from a non-touch phone with Symbian to the N97, will it work with the physical keypad or virtual keys?
Have had my N95 for 2 years now - never had any problems with the slider. Doubt the new iPhone will beat the N97 on specs.
this is a beautifull phone
Kalla, 26 May 2009Hello Curiousguy,
I have E-65 that is also sliding. Before purchasing this phone I was also h... moreI had a LOT of problems with the slide out
Never Nokia again
Going for the new Iphone out in June, solid and no moving parts
great user interface.
Man this phone looks like the ultimate one i have ever searched on the net. This has huge 3.5 inch screen and 32GB internal memory and lotz of other stuff which are ultimate at this point of time. If this phone had 8MP camera it would have been a FULL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Allan, 27 May 2009Did you get it on contract or unlocked? Looks like a good phone.Hey bro have you tried outt the ovi store yet cause it's kinda buggy but not really sure since my E70 is really old compaired to the N95 and newer models but let me know how it was on your end
and i found 5800 on Ebay .com not .ca for 300 USD and the fact the CAD dollar is getting stronger the difference wont be so much :D and it's the NAM i guess when i get it i'll meet up and show you :D
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970yes that's correct sir! :) we just love when he say it. should we call him to announce the N97 release? LOL..
I may be wrong, but if the N97 had a) A slightly higher resolution OMLED display b) HD (702P) video recording c) A xenon flash (no going back from my fabulous SE K800i I'm afraid) d) A front mounted D-Pad, it would be the most versatile and well specified phone on Earth. (I mention a D-Pad because for one handed operation with the QWERTY keyboard shut, there is no more speedy, reliable and efficient way to operate a device.)
June 2009 is going to be the most exciting period in the history of the mobile phone. N97 - vs - iPhone V3 - vs - Palm Pre - vs - Samsung Omnia HD & i7500 (Android) - vs - HTC Touch Pro 2 - vs - Anything else I've omitted that does lots of the good stuff well.
Let battle commence!

...hang on the E65 doesn't have a secondary camera, why are you mentioning rubbish in this thread?
Anonymous, 26 May 2009dude, this is not a high end flagship frm nokia yet. if fact this an affordable high end whi... moreWell, if that's true, then Nokia only has 2 more N9x series phones to go until they reach N100. Maybe other phone manufacturers will bring out better phones now that they symbian foundation is almost ready to roll out their first symbian^1 os, which is a continuation of symbian/s60
Anonymous, 26 May 2009Nokia also says it supports max 16GB sd-cards, which isn't either true. It has been confirm... moreActually, they said that the max it supported was 16GB at the time that the 32GB wasn't out, and stated that it would support a 32GB card as soon as it got out.
merlin, 26 May 2009Yes i can prove it because Nokia themselves said this phone supports a maximum of 3.6 mbps. He... moreNokia also says it supports max 16GB sd-cards, which isn't either true.
It has been confirmed that the N97 can use 32GB cards.
So this might be another case where Nokia states wrong numbers, for security's sake, to not get accused for claiming the N97 can do something it can't at launch, since the new 32GB cards will be availible later.
The same thing can be said about HSDPA, I think.
Palm Pre will not be a big success, iPhone will continue to sell easy and this N97 will have success but not for long...when people will start to say, this phone is too slow, the resistive screen his hard to use...The Samsung Omnia HD was the solution but when recording videos, it has crappy sound quality! SO BEST SOLUTION IS TO WAIT for a real all-in-one phone!
