How do ypu know it costs $699pre-order from nokia on-line store delivery in July
quoted at $699 in the US.
I doubt Nokia will include MPCore in the N97. If they chose not to include 3D acceleration in future phones, what makes you think that they'll include MPCore???!! We can all wait until Symbian^3 or ^4 comes out with TI OMAP 3430's support, then it'll include the good stuff.
James, 05 May 2009Nice phone but prefer HTC Pro 2 cause its more customizable!!! what is htc touch pro 2 cpu & RAM specs? i'm in the confusion here, since n97 will potentially slow. that's my one only reason looking for similar substitutes. pro2 seems fine, but it is only 3.12mp camera, and poor video quality. and don't tell me that is because this is business phone. do we think that business people don't need good camera or video? come on man, it's just untolerable excuse for such high end mobile we need them also. having stated my points, i'm really confused here.. i really really hope that n97 won't be slow - specially when it is loaded - not in here this forum, but in REAL LIFE. we shall find out..
Anonymous, 04 May 2009a device equip with 32GB internal memory called MIDRANGE phone ?? i get ur message, a devic... moredon't be so cynical, man. i get the dude's point.. what good is 32GB if you can't fully use it because it could make you phone jammed (or at least you have some worries it would), because nokia put such low processor & ram memory, that potentially dissapointing. that was his point i guess. i like n97 but that shouldn't stop me to see the real facts.

stan, 04 May 2009I love the n97. so your saying that the way the n97 is set up it wont be slow? can you explain... moreThink of it this way
if the itouch had the same CPU as the N97 then there shall be no problem cause
their both using ARM11 CPUs but the fact that apple is using the older CPU the one they have in the N95 and it's only single CPU then lag happens but nope
nokia stepped up and is using the MPCore cpu smart
just like intels CPUs
might seem all the same cause of the name but the CPUs are different lol

The Multicore ARM processors will be in the 9 series, they aren't ready for phones yet.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Of course the Samsung Omnia HD has higher quality components so it's worth more.
At those bargain basement prices no wonder Nokia's profits are down so far, looks like their free ride is over, people are no longer prepared to pay ridiculous amounts for substandard hardware.
Nokia probably want to make money from selling things through the OVI store instead.
Anonymous, 04 May 2009How, he just makes stuff up it's all fantasy.Lol go to ARM.com and look up symbian OS you noob looks like i'm not reading wrong cause it states symbian OS is using 3 new ARM CPUs and one of them is the MPCore which i might remind you a dual core CPU in a single CHIP So don't go on inless you read then talk....
Nokia n97 will be far better than all the other phones ; only omnia hd can be called an oponnent.Symbian os is more versatile than windows mobile , and the nokia's cpu will work just fine ,faster than any other cpu on the market .It is a great phone but it can't be on everyone's taste...that's why are NOKIA PHONES and all the other phones.
please please please nokia changes the display to
AMOLED capacitive or resistive im begging you
