Sphlynx, 13 Apr 2009Stop stating a price you aren't sure of. Nokia hasn't stated an official prize, but their are ... moreIf the N-gage games are so good, why does my mate with his N96 keep borrowing my iPhone to play my award winning games?
In the Independent game developer awards for 2009 iPhone games won every mobile game category except one which went to a Nintendo DS game, the iPhone beat PSP, Nintendo DS, Java, flash-lite, Symbian and N-gage games in it's first year of entry.
A billion App downloads, a lot of them games, over 30,000 Apps a lot of them games, N-Gage is nothing in comparison.
RealPlayer is popular in Asia, does N97 supports all type of Real Media files, like rmvb?
iCrap cant be charged when it is switched off
those who says keyboeard is uncessary, then use the virtual keyboard on N97, n97 staill looks thin and stylish despite the adding of Phsycal keyboard, iphone design? even a young kid can draw it on their drAwing paper.
I seldom see iphone users typing a long mail on their phone, i agree typing on iphone is fast, but the keyboard cover 2/3 part of the screen.
the lasted demo of n97 shows that Nokia n97 team is improving the firmware....
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2009How can N97 top if it does not exists yet ?????????good question. Somewhere in one of my earlier post, I did mention " if n97 is the phone I think it to be"
Hope this clarify the confusion.

as for tv, I want internet tv because I travel to
diff. countries all the time. SP based tv is of limited use. And we are not talking about pc but mobile phone.
I'm happy to consider alternatives to n97, but I'm afraid there is none at the moment.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2009at Fall Nokia will announced 3 new thin touch screen one of them- 5530XM Announcing is one thing delivering a different story........
anonymous, 13 Apr 2009The N97 will be priced around or above 1,000 USD/CAD when it's released.
Anyone who is a mu... moreStop stating a price you aren't sure of. Nokia hasn't stated an official prize, but their are rumours, it will be around €500, am not sure though.
And what do you mean Nokia N97 doesn't have games and apps, have you heard of the Nokia Ngage, there are psp quality games on Ngage, people with N95, N85, N82 and other nseries phones can testify to that. The Nokia N97 will come preloaded with Ngage and with that 3.6 inch screen and the physical keyboard, you won't even need a psp or ds. As for apps wait till the Ovi store is launched before talking trash. Even now there are lots of apps for the symbian 5th and most symbian 3rd apps would also run on the N97 because of its backward compatibility with them.
And considering the keyboard, countless hands-on reviews have given the keyboard an A+ rating, it is robust, firm and solid. So stop bashing when you aint got your facts straight.
Rinker, 13 Apr 2009Well at least ur old but great E70 still far better than this iPhone SH!T coz it's an Eseries ... more i know LOL my phone is God compared to iphone XD and it's 5 years old and the battery is starting to suck XD
iolo003, 13 Apr 2009Nautilus will not have Symbian on it because the UI will just be a generic UI in the future. B... moreUnfortunately Apple has de facto created a new standard that is growing immensely.
One billion Apps have been downloads in only TEN months and the success of Itunes makes it impossible for the time being for any other brand to compete effectively, it was a master plan so well executed to bring not only Iphone on the market but change the world and the way people relate to mobile internet and all related services.
Good luck with linux and Nautilus desperate attempt.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2009Chinese keyboards, etc----nothing new been around
for a long, long time. The handwriting Chinese keyboards on the iPhone have a blank area of screen where you draw the characters with your finger as opposed to the other two Chinese Pinyin keyboards which have the more familiar keys.
Check the news Orange just released an iPhone App with 60 streaming TV channels, of course I already had Joost, then there's the Masters App with live golf and CBS has their streaming TV Apps, then I can access live tv from the tuner card in my PC via Orb live.

It's unecessary and looks hard t... moreI've used touch phone before, SE,HTC,and LG.
Believe me, qwerty is highly desirable. however
i would agree that the slide mechanism looks fragile.
i simple slide like the X1 may be better. But still
all thing considered, N97 still tops. At least
for the moment.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2009So much future that Nautilus will not have Symbian, good luck in taking over Itunes number one... moreNautilus will not have Symbian on it because the UI will just be a generic UI in the future. Besides if Nokia is considering Linux, it must be that they want exclusivity of their softwares and development in the future, much like Samsung, SE and the rest cant hold and own.
