Kyuubi, 19 Jan 2009That's the problem your not in canada so it's cheaper for you 180$CAD+36 months = 3000$CADWow you get ripped hard, the thing is the plans are pretty much the same for any phone, the N96 is $480 on the $69 plan, something like an E71 or a 6220 is free.
I'd say the N97 would be in the same price bracket, the thing about these phone's (N95, N96 etc) is the price doesn't come down too much, even after quite a few months.

Its a HSDPA ver for 3g and a HSCSD protocol already. due to this its a great feature for internet surfing. and as of now im waiting for nokia HSPA capable phone were sony and samsung already have.

Dwayne Knobski, 19 Jan 2009FM transmitter is a sweet idea. is it set to 1 frequency?FM transmitter is design to select or set any frequency you want but with respect to the radio u are using. it must be an analog radio for you to used this feature
[deleted post], 19 Jan 2009You can buy an FM transmitter at the $2 shop for $2!Actually, they range from 15 to 55 dollars! The one i just saw on google for the iphone was like 50 dollars, but at least the n97 comes with it, thats better then i can say for the iphone!
yemi, 19 Jan 2009does it really come wiv a digital tv like the n96?in regards with your opinion and with respect to n97 specs the phone is not capable for tv streaming. it has no DVBH receiver which used as the antenna for cabled channels like the n92,n77 nad n96. but in this case u can use an optional thing which is the video streaming in order for you to watch channels

So you paid out a $5000 contract, wow you must have more dollars than sense.
Do you think this will have the same high class Carl Zeiss optics of the 5800XM camera that everyone is raving about?

I have seen this phone, its adorable. The price will range from £450- £500. Like all new phones, you wont be able to get the phone free on contract unless you are willing to pay high monthly contract tariffs.
In comparison to the competitors- Xperia, G1, Storm; the Nokia N97 has a cutting-edge. It also comes with a digital tv reciever which nokia are working on i believe which make this phone potentially the best of 2009. With the hit of the N95, we believe the N97 would raise the standards of netbook technolgy.
Best to wait until August for those contract users, bearing in mind the high tariffs for the first 4 months upon release date.
Nokia has pushed its boundaries,, lets see what the iphone can do now to beat the N97.
