LOL. As I have said, hype is not enough to make a product successful, and that would explain Pepsi's fate, thank you. And I don't think Apple went on extremes. If you think about it, Nokia was in Batman. Nokia is also in Britney's Womanizer video. Iphone is only doing ads using the iphone with no celebs. So I don't know what extremes you're talking about =)

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970That depends on what you want in a phone. If you want just a phone to make phone calls and not do much, then get the 1200. If you want a smartphone that does it all and is willing to pay for what you get(much more than the 1200), then get the N97.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Because the FM Transmitter is important. Meaning you don't have to buy a FM Transmitter. You can listen to your songs on the N97 through your stereo system at home or in your car without buying any adaptors or plugging it to anything.

"Here we go again with the same silly whining on the missing features of the iphone. Like there is a phone out there that has them all.
BT file transfer is not the only way to transfer a file. There's email. BT headphones are inferior compared to wired headsets."
-so if i want to transfer files to my friends when we're out and about, i have to go to a computer with internet to send the files to them?
-in the wireless age, your going to use a wired headset? seriously, is this how iPhone users justify for this SIMPLE function that almost 99% of other phones have?!
"The iphone will have cut/paste included in the 2.3 firmware update, and that's been confirmed. With copy and paste, SMS forwarding won't be a big deal any longer because you can simply copy and paste that sms."
-i'll believe it when it happens. not having cut and paste on the 1st gen iPhone, i can understand, but NOT having it on the 2nd version?! what is Apple thinking? so your telling me you would rather cut and paste the whole message instead of just rather hit a "forward" button?
"2mp camera is enough. Iphone users have digital cameras. We prefer digital cameras over any camera phones."
-that's right, ONLY iPhone users have digital cameras to take pictures. everyone else uses their camera built into the phone. again, your just stating that stupid comment because you can't justify for the low camera quality on the iPhone. EVERYONE i know who doesn't have an iPhone has a digital camera too.
"Don't be silly. Iphone owners are not first time smartphone owners, so don't say that we don't know why we bought the iphone"
-i know alot of teenagers who's parents bought the iPhone for them, and it's their first time with a "smartphone". so yes, anyone with a little knowledge of mobile phones would NOT buy an iPhone.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If you say so, I've been through 3 Iphones and they've all broken down on me. Freezing, problem with the sim contact, I thought it was my sim card that was old, so I had to waste bloody $25 to get a new sim and call into my provider to change the sim numbers, yet to encounter the same problem. Maybe I'm unlucky to get 3 defects out of the bunch, I'm still not bitter to put down the Iphone. My cousin has the Iphone, she likes it, but she says it freezes quite a bit too. But hey, everyone has their experiences.
Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009i phoned nokia uk today they told me this phone WILL e out in april can anyone confirm please thanksI can't confirm 100%, but from all the sources that I've been receiving, it should be coming out either March 31 or first one week of April. Kyubii, 14 Jan 2009You know were pmall is as well lol this is funny.. The canadians popped out of no were on gsmarenaOf course I know where p-mall is, I was the one replying to the questions about the price of the N97 and the conversion from Pounds to CAD. Several years ago, in my high school years, I used to be there everyday(all about the dvds ;D). Though, it's a pain to travel up there now, since it takes me almost an hour. And I know EXACTLY what you saying about Toronto being a popularity contest 24/7.

However, it's also the truth. You may have gotten good deals there when you don't speak the language, but imagine if you did. There would've been more of a discount.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009how about not having a 60% error rate in evrything u type?!How about being able to adjust the keyboard language?
It's easy on the iPhone you can make it Chinese or all these other strange letters, you can only do that with a virtual keyboard.
There's some guy here with a broken keyboard the 'X' and the 'D' must be stuck, wonder what he's typing on?

Or are you just throwing away another meaningless fan boy line.
Things with problems, do you remember the 8210?
Did you know Nokia had to increase the warranty to 24 months and offer screen replacements due to a manufacturing fault which also affected the 8250, they didn't do it voluntarily it was only after several courtcases.
All these people had to stick bits of paper in their phone's to push the contacts down or the screen would fade away, now that was a problem.
Have you ever heard of the red ring of death which affects the Xbox 360?
These are examples of real problems not blanket statements.
