MITCH, 03 Nov 2010how do i open my wifi and internet with my n97 phoneGo to the phone web then press option's, then settings, then general, then access point.
being a flagship device this phone has low RAM AND CPU which are being already used in low end touch phones like 5233 and 5233 etc.The ram capacity of this phone should have been 512mb and cpu should be 1ghz.totaly cramp
very good built quality, total failure when it comes to the os symbian is dead ,please wake up nokia. Real shame when it comes to memory mine has 75 mb not 128 believe it or not! This device should cost no more than 200 dollars max not 4 to 500 in some contries.
Rifaee, 01 Nov 2010You sound like you are giving away money...may be but to buy a good mobile it is quite usual...
i am using both x6 and n97 at the same time...n97 is totallybundle..but x6 is very good...worth buying....and also going to but n8 tomorrow...if budget not a problem then buy n8 instead...
Anonymous, 31 Oct 2010is nokia n97 really really sucks?..please answer i need your advise before i buy it..dude if you haven't bought this phone yet then do not do this mistake....your post is dated 31-10-2010.so i think you haven't boght it yet...it's my kind advice to you..
please nokia lovers never buy this phone......or else you will have to pay for it.i have almost used all nokia multimedia phones but this is the worst one to date....only one thing is good that is the battery else everything is worse..me and my friend are using this mobile but performance is the same..the biggest problem is the ram that is only 128 mb which makes it very vulnerable to restart while multitasking...it hangs daily 4-5 times..it's a dailt routine...i have done everything to fix it-update software, format both memories, restore original phone settings etc. but of no use..the best multimedia phone i have used to date is the nokia x6 16gb....battery is good, never ever hangs or restarts, sound is very good.overall everything is good.and another is nokia n95.it also is a legendary phone...but is not available now.....so x6 is worth buying..but never ever buy n97...you will certainly thank me later..it's a promise...believe me.....
[deleted post]There were many issues with the initial firmware and most of the issues are addressed with the latest f/w. However when it comes to multitasking, its performance is below average due to low RAM. When N8 is available now, why should you buy this phone?
Amit, 31 Oct 2010really very good and impressive phone got yet but one problem with the camera sometime give... moreThere were two issues with N97 camera which nokia admitted as a design issue and the one you are referring sounds the same - a whitish shade on the left side when you use flash. Either you can use a permanent marker to fix it ( search in youtube) or take it to a service center. I send my phone for repair and Nokia fixed it for free.
