Anonymous, 11 Dec 2008yah i agree..i seems to be their habit..i notice n76 is a copy of most motorolla phones like..... morei agree that...it looks like a copy of experia...but in so many ways better.....no windows mobile! which works just like a pc u upload it with music and it slows down...plus the memory and screen size of this fone blow experia out of the water!....u wanna talk about copy designs talk to the iphone people...they copied the Prada!...yes the prada was annouced b4 the iphone.
i believe this will be another flagship from nokia. starting with the memory, it is just ridiculous in a very good way and the enhanced touch OS plus all the features that any1 could look for. i was just hoping nokia could add something else which not any phone brand has. but as a coprehensive, it is damn complete to take care of 2009
Sorry, but the iphone isn't perfect. I have one also and its jailbroke. I get bored using it because it is only a media device. I use my n95 more when I am out in public. Also, sorry, but The iphone is in the same dimension as the n97 and other touchscreen smartphones.
Owwkkk... gr8 fone after gettin a look at the features... quite rightly said that its on the same lines of the xperia... but a NOKIA will always be a NOKIA!!! using an E90 rite now... fantastic fone... lets hope this one rocks too... a li'l doubtful on the qwerty though cuz E90's qwerty seems a bit hard... nd dis one even more so!!!
Yeah ! I knows this phone copy so many phones in the market right now but looks back, are these phones all like each other. Looks like they all copy each other if we says like that. Any way, this phone have EVERYTHING ... yes .. EVERTHING. This's wat im waiting for.

Every Phone targets a different market. People need to start realising this. Nokia targets at people who want features more than the look. Although they make some ugly phones, they are always packed to bursting with features. Samsung Phones are usually nicer looking than other phones and they come packed with some decent features... but they are relatively less durable. Apple in the other hand target the youth market. Middle_aged people can find the iphone useless for two reasons
1) They want all the features on their phone, even if they don't use it. e.g : Microsoft word, Voice Dialling.
2)Or they are extremely busy professionals who need microsoft word to do their work while in the car, plane, holiday etc.
The iPhone comes with features that are more suited ot the young generation. iPod, Full touch screen, Weather button, Application store (many apps are free), scratch resistant screen (trust me, it is more useful for teenagers than anyone else, and a unque "conversation type" Texting feature which lines up your texts with aa individual like an instant messenging conversation. etc. ALthough i do agree it lacks some of the most basic features such as bluetooth, video camera, MMS.
so the whole pooint of this message is, there is no point in talking trash about a certain phone. If you don't like it, fine. go comment on a phone whcih you like. Or if you are a jealouse person trying to put other people from buying the phone you cant have, do yourself a favor and get a life.
The N97 is indeed a good phone. it's not very eye catchy, yet it has some powerful features and a rather simple interface. it may have its falws but hey, nothing in this world is perfect.
now that i am finished, feel free to leave me hate coments and tell me how much of an idiot i am.
I really like this phone however, it's not very suitable for corporate world as in BlackBerry, Palm Treo's with Windows CE or Palm OS. You can only do fancy stuff with this phone.. I would buy this phone but i dont want to carry around 2 phones with me, one for work and personal, and i m sure the company would never pay for a phone like this. so this would only be the thing stopping me to buy it..
Nokia needs to enter into corporate world now that they have full key board phones.
N97 is a comple JOKE, 09 Dec 20085MP Camera??? Sony Ericsson, LG, Samsung and many others have taken the step into the future b... moreI am reluctantly compelled to agree with u chum. By the way think abt Omnia & Innov8 before u take the plunge. I have first hand experience with these two phones & would recommend to any without any hesitation.(Out of these two, innov 8 is much more user friendly)
Having said that, I sincerley believe that Nokia will rise once again after all these maulings by Samsung,HTC & SE (in that order)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Ya true who puts more than 8 gigs on there phone , who needs 32 gigs on there phone? Well let me say that this is no longer a phone, IT IS A COMPUTER . Nokia are smart and are now targeting the lap top market , this phone is the beginning of the nokia revolution, it IS like a lap top , key board , document viewer , 32 gb hard drive , processor , ram , s60 os , nokia really are gods of the tech world
