For some reason, I find the htc touch hd has better looking design compare to this nokia n97 and i phone.
The only the htc hd missing are the 16m colors, carl zeiss optics for camera and good flash, 32gb internal memory and the qwerty keyboard, otherwise the touch hd would have been perfect phone.
The looks of this n97 is NOT something strikingly impressive.
Ok, I know it has better features than the rest of the phones out there for a moment, but I'm talking about the looks though...
Don't disagree with me now folks, don't be blind.
Don't be bias about the looks. Look at the HTC touch HD and this phone, This is just my personal opinion and by the way, I just saw and held it in my hands the nokia express 5800 and the stylus is made out of cheap plastic material, and the phone is worth $600??
They told me that the n97 is very similar to the express 5800. The only difference are the 5mp,32gb and the qwerty keyboard.
Both express 5800 and n97 are not beauty in my eyes, they look like its a chocolate bar with screen on it.
My opinion this kind of looks on the phone are meant for little girls. Seriously!
If I'm a nokia designer, I will definitely go back to my drawing board and re-design the looks of n97, and then copy the htc touch hd a little bit and then make the sliding feature a little unique.
Sliding the screen feature to expose the qwerty keyboard is definitely reminds me of t-mobile low end smart phones out there, it makes me want to puke when i see someone with a slider like that.
For the price which I'm pretty sure it will be sky rocket high once they release this phone, I will absolutely NOT one of the fools who will buy this right away.
The htc touch hd, in my opinion, I think has way better looks than this phone. And I think, the htc hd is the real i phone killer.
* but the looks succkkss
i think got a big surprise for those hater
the data sheet of N97 listed, there is a
World-class game titles with n-gage
wither u like it or not
this phone is the most advance mobile device at the moment
what fanboys from other company can do is hope that ther fan company can produce a better than this phone
more worse, another touch device is brewing from nokia.. an HD screen, multitouch that has the capability in detecting gestures in realtime..
Does it have MS office applications (Excel, Winword, powerpoint?
Not MS office editor?
SamaN, 05 Dec 2008it is king, good bye iphoneCopy Cat technology does'nt make N97 King
Here is a site where you boys can learn a little about the N97, before you make your childish comments.
It has many links to so many reviews it's not funny.
N97 and iPhone differences.
you guys really need to do your research before you make comments.
again 5MP only? again without xenon flash? the full QWERTY end the white color will be good, but nokia stops on the time. And the fast announce again will let the N97 killed before his born, like the n96 =/
On this weeks click online this is due out in the spring but they also said that nokia MAY release its own network ??????
I think Pepsi needs an education on what a built in GPS receiver means! The first i phone used google maps in conjunction with wi fi to determine where you are and for getting a route for where you wanted to go but had no navigation, hence built in gps receiver wasn't mentioned in the spec's until iphone 3g came along!
Oh, and Anonymous, if you are going to discuss the obsolesence of the N97, you need to get out of the technology industry. Every form of technology released becomes obsolete after a few months. Also, the N97 and iPhone customer bases are completely different. The iPhone is more US based and the N97 is more Asia/Europe. I would know...I don't live in the US and the 3G iPhone is almost totally unavialable to me.
why infrared left?how i will use infrared based remote control software?
Ok, I think Allan and Anonymous need to take their arguments somewhere else. Neither of you are getting the other's point and this is by no means the place to debate the superiority or inferiority of one phone that has been out for over a year to one that has not come out as yet. Not to mention, I wouldn't compare this phone to the iPhone...they aren't in the same category. The only similarity is that they are phones and have touch screens. Everyone is entitle to their own likes and dislikes...no need to berate each other about it. That being said, I believe I'm going to sell my N82 and then purchase the N97. I think it's time for a change, and Nokia has provided me with such.
Allan, 07 Dec 2008Pepsi, i have voice guidance for my gps, so get things right and iphone 3g has gps used with g... morei have no idea who this pepsi person is, but i can promise you i'm not them, so i would kindly ask you to stop referring to me as 'pepsi' call me nelsy if you must call me something.
Google maps uses to the GPS to locate where you are standing then then gives you directions to your destination, hmmm so you it finds where you are at that moment and then gives you directions to where you want to be, sounds like a MAP not a GUIDANCE system, GPS software has yet been developed, hence i said faults to date, the iPhone software is continually evolving, something ive never seen symbian do.
Yes it will be out of date, 90% of its announced features are already available in phones of this class, so in 6 months it will have the same caliber of features as a phone i can buy today.
and lol @ 'The n95 is still popular!' onward brave nokia soldier! preach to your grave, as im sure everyone is listening. well ok that was sarcasm, what does the n95 still being popular got to do with it? other then to show how much of a pile of junk the n96 is
