I have had mine since a year ago and it's a very nice cellphone, especially that i love phones with touchscreens and keyboards. Though I have resistive touchscreens cuz there isn't multitouch. But until NOKIA releases the N9 I think this device will do good.
smartmovie player's performance is pathetic on my n97 mini.
Recently released beta version of DivX mobile player v1 for s60v5 devices is even more pathetic...main culprits r skipped frame rates, inability to handle high bitrate and lags while playing VGA (640*480) resolution videos.
Coming from s60v3, i always preferred smartmovie and coreplayer and hated the default real player then.
But now in s60v5 i have started loving default real player in my n97 mini as it plays videos very clear and can handle high bitrates and VGA resolution. Only concerns are codecs and time spent converting videos.
hello everyone and hi to gsmarena team. I just got my N97 mini today (previous owner of a nokia 6710) at first i heard the original N97 had some problems and after reading the review of N97 mini and hearing about firmware improvements like kinetic scrolling and other aditions to improve speed as well as the boosted 512mb rom i knew this was for me. Lets start with hardware. Great comfortable keyboard makes typing easy, screen is clear and for its compact size 3.2 inch display is a lovely size. Loads of apps onboard mixed with kinetic scrolling, widgets and a great browser makes thisS60 interface feel fresh and updated and a joy to use. The micro computer (as i like to call it) is fast despite it being 434mhz which at that speed does sound outdated. In-box content in my region is the usual paper work, car gps mount, car charger, usb cable, charger and earphones. I highly recomend N97 mini for those looking for a full keyboard touch device with an edge... It is Nseries after all.
You lot all seem to not know alot about phones the n97 mini is a great phone in the right hands... i have had mine a year now and have got the same one no faults and have dropped a few times. problems with speed only happen when people dont know how to use the phone. it runs very similar to a pc and needs to be looked after i.e. making sure you dont use all your ram using stupid apps that run in the background. also making sure you install everything to the d drive to allow all the c drive free for page files..... as long as u keep your ram free and dont use c drive the phone is by far the best out there. internet is amazing user interface is great once u get used to it. everyone should have a n97 mini
VERY POOR phone.
Slow, battery life appalling, on my 2nd device after 6 months and about to ditch it. Drops data and voice connections all the time, locks up, reboots - and i am on the latest versions!
It is slowly driving me insane!!!!
I am using N97 mini and its very nice mobile. its is one of the best phone in nokia.
help guys ... hows the touch screen .. hows the battery life ... what is the memory of c drive .. hows the camera speed .. and finally .. hows the ui speed .. compared to my n79 and 5800 ...

"CHEERS" for my Nokia!
btw, how slow is your "slow"? I'm gonna throw my nokia phones away if ever it will take a minute to open a simple app like answering a call, opening an sms, sending an sms, opening contacts, creating a new contact. Those are the main reasons why you buy a phone in the first place.
east or west samsung wave is the best.....best in all aspect....nokia and his bulshit touch screen phones are too slow and they cant reach to catch samsung wave.......3 chears for samsung wave..

Nokia phones are not "rubbish", iPhone can not provide every people's needs from a mobile device, iPhone is not a perfect gadget, it all depends on what an individual deem important feature in a phone, leave us alone Steve Job's disciple, ok?
