n-gage, 20 Sep 2008what is the maximum capacity of its memory cardi what to reset all application on my n-gage
I would buy this phone just for the purpose of having a ringing taco
The N-Gage was the 2nd symbian phone i've ever owned. And i loved it! Even though I've used plenty of Nokia phones, and currently using a Nokia 5800XM the N-Gage still lies on my list of fav phones. Truth be told, The sound quality, as all other opinions states, surpasses any other older 1st and 2nd edition symbian phones (sometimes even newer phones such as the N-Siries!!) The only phone at that time which would most probably compete with N-Gage's sound quality is the old Nokia 3300 (the N-Gage QD's brother so to speak. It has almost the same chassis as the QD) If you happen to pass by a friend or a shop selling a 2nd hand N-Gage, Get it. Because these phones are quite rare nowadays. Still available somewhere but rare...
At a glance of this device, you'll know it's built for gaming and well...a lot of abuse. as for the performance, it also surpasses the N-Gage QD. I do wonder why Nokia would produce the N-Gage QD with only some extra functions such as hot swap memory but leaves the stereo music capabilities behind. I myself bought and tested the N-Gage QD and it tends to lag more than the classic N-Gage.
Overall, The N-Gage is a great phone to own. Too bad they discontinued it though. But the spirit of the N-Gage will still live on!
Well what do I say about this phone. Don't know where to start and where to end.
I'd bought this phone when I started working for a callcenter. Inspite of having a Nokia 7610. The reason I bought an N-Gage Classic, it's because I knew the worth of it and the feature packed phone at an affordable price!!!
Just like many of you have mentioned in your comments. This phone has an excellent, mind blowing, super Hi-Fi Stereo Sound. If you connect the Audio Cable and plug in a 3.5 mm Jack Headphone, you would know what I'm talking about. I have a Nokia N73 Music Edition. But oh baby, N-Gage leaves it way behind with it's crystal clearity sound and High but Low Noise Volume.
Another feature that I like the most is that you can record any songs that are playing on the FM Radio or from the CD Player or any other media. Now come on, how many of the Nokia phones have this feature!
Graphics way better than the QD. As the frame rate is too good, with less or no lag at all.
Lastly, I'd like non N-Gage Classic users know that this phone is Rock Solid. I'm not kidding about this mate. I have dropped this phone number of times but not a scratch on the panel and all the key's work perfectly fine!!!
I'd just like to conclude saying that this is definetly the best phone every to be made by Nokia in my perspective & I'm a proud owner of the Nokia N-Gage Classic.
Anger, 29 Mar 2009I have problems with my n-gage. I cannot turn it on. When i turn it on it show the NOKIA logo ... moreI do have one, and faced that problem once, and just turned off the Phone and set on charging, if your battery is not dead or weak enough this will be OK after having a sufficient charging back.
Else change the battery and try it.
i had faced an other problem with my N-gage,this problem is apparently not similar to this post/question but i am listing here in case if someone else can get help out of it.
My phone was stuck in the Blue tooth's ON mode, i was not able to get it back offline after many different attempts and even i had turned off the mobile power and had disconnected the battery twice, when ever i powered on the set this was on same status, then suddenly one trick came into my mind , and i applied it. i just removed the battery with my alternate 2nd battery, that then i switched the blue tooth off , and it worked.
Hope this will help you guys.
I have problems with my n-gage. I cannot turn it on. When i turn it on it show the NOKIA logo but then it turn off by i self.Could anyone help me?
Mike, 15 Mar 2009i have my n-gage, and works well but the battery life is too short, why is that ? i've chang... morego get a genuine nokia bl-5c. it should be able to hold up to 2 days on normal call usage.
if your battery are weak use nlights software, this will turn off your ngage keypad light and also reduce the brightness of your ngage this two are the factors for consuming more battery to your ngage
anyone got the same problem as me ?with the battery ?
or i got something with my n-gage,
i have my n-gage, and works well
but the battery life is too short, why is that ?
i've changed the battery and i got the same problem,
can anyone help me out ?
My realone player can't read 3gp file..! There's "unknown file format" ... What i've to do...!?
gaming experience on ngage is better compared to n-series game, coz those n-phones cant handle effect on such big screen resolution, resulting a bit of "java" game feeling(unlike the PSP lol)...
the mp3 player ROCKS! games too. if there is still some classic out there, i will definitely buy another one.
This phone was the best nokia at that time. I could use mp3 as ringtone while the other phone couldn't.
The gaming experience is still the best at this time. Nokia N-Series couldn't defeat this phone at all in gaming experience.
the first nokia phone who has a "Stereo" mp3 player. far superior than n-gage QD. why nokia even bothered making that one.
this version still rocks and the sound is still far better than most recent nokia phones, like N70 music edition which sounds crap. it shouldn't even be called music edition. this n-gage will trash the sound of that garbage. i have them both, and n-gage is far superior than most nokia phones that came after n-gage. if you want a hip and cool looking phone with stereo bass and treble boost, this is the one. too bad it was phased out. only second hand ones are available now. it's N70 music edition should be the one that must be phased out. that phone's crap and with mono sound. i'll trash it along with n-gage QD.
this one is awesome. hands down to the n-gage classic
