raj there is a software called msdrive
through which all messages r saved to ur mmc
but there are many cases where this s/w has caused WSOD so its quite a risk 2 install it
coz this a 2 big price 2 pay for this

i have used qd for past 10 months here are my
take on the cell
PROS
1.symbian os 6.01 loads of apps 4 u
2.only 6.01 os gives the ability 2 play high quality games of ngage
3.loud speaker
4.no sidetalk
sd cards upto 2gb available and the cheapest
of all types
5.mp3 software can be installed
6.cool design for gameplay
7.no problems while using in dark
8.hot swap
9.ngage arena
10.tough
11.limitless possibilities
but
to acheieve this nokia had 2 sacrifice certain features
1.as the os 6.1 themes cannot be applied
unlike 6630 and other nokia fones this was done as then the os 7 had problems playing java files aqnd thus gameplay of such high level could not be acheived
2.no radio. hmmmm costs around rs.150 a handsfree one
3.the rubber grip ok comes out after intensive use(mine came out after 2 months)
but no probs coz it can be purchased 4 around rs.50
4.ok the most frequent one : camera
wats the use of it buy a proper digital camera like i got a 5MP cybershot its the best
Finally
buy it coz its the cheapest and the best symbian fone today.

i heard dat QD can edit it speaker,so i think if i edit it with nk6230 speaker will the mp3 quality best like hell?? :) hmm looking for a QD,but some ppl suggest i take n gage,but it stop already!! n the battery drain qucikly.. :( wat can i do?so i think i will get a QD,n i can install some software that will made it colour more beautiful :D i mean the icon..but can QD play .jar files n ASHEN?? can any1 tell me?

awesome cell to keep specially if you to want impress the girls because of its very high power speakers with its company u will never feel bored

This Phone is real Gud... I mean look at all that it offers at such a low price, right frm bluetooth to MMC slot so tht u can install any software to suit ur purposes... KOOL!!!

does anyone know the different off mmc card? my fren is using rs mmc card for its qd.. and i search on market and find out there is many type of mmc... rs mmc , rs mmc dv, mmc...
i personally have a mmc card , 1 gb... and i not sure weather can use on qd or not.. i wish to ask about.. using which type of mmc card will give the most best results for qd?

hi guyz, i got the qd last week and its a superb game station. plz let me knwo from where can i download PC SUITE FOR NOKIA NGAGE QD. i tried to download from the nokia site but after installation, it says your handset is not compitable with the software.pl....let me know from where correct pc suit can be downloaded.

The N-Gage QD is a great Symhbian phone, but beware. With heavy use, you will find these flaws to be annoying:
If you answer it in the dark, you have a 50/50 shot at getting the right end up when you say hello. It's shaped like the letter D, but good luck trying to figure out which end is which when you are in a dark car or something. Next...It's user interface schema. Hope you like orange. Because of the selections it has, it might as well be "Plenty orange", "really orange" or "more orange". The good news is that the call circuitry in the phone is excellent. Sound quality is impeccable. It has SOME onboard ram, but I recommend getting a 512mb MMC.
The rubber gasket that surrounds the phone will peel away in heavy use. I recommend putting a Hoover 38528-040 vacuum cleaner belt around the whole thing. It will keep your mmc in at all times, and if you drop the QD, the belt will definately protect it.
Overall, it is a really great phone.

nokia ngageqd is excellent,its volume and performance is outstanding & its look is 2good. the only thing if its missing is the camera if ngageqd becomes ngage qdi then belife me no one can stop the fone. in every body hand there will be ngage qdi.

yes you cannot use mp3 files as a ringtone but you can use ogg as a ringtone just install quodrings and your all set =)
