Pds, 22 May 2011I agree to you that Cedar is one of the best phone of SE and it is the best in the same price ... moreIts bad that nokia didnt add 3g and a nice louder speaker into 5250.
Else it would have wiped clean samsung corby, the awful phone, of the market.

Its image sensor is too low quality.
Its nowhere near even a good quality 1.3mp sensor.

A 9 months ago I was also thinking of the same while buying x2.
If buying x2 you have to forget the above listed and just think of a super loud speaker with below avg clarity. And a flash that does no good if u r 2metres away from target.
My advice buy sony ericsson cedar. You will get x2 in vice versa, that means what x2 have as bad (display,cam clarity, vid, headset clarity, battery) is awesome in cedar and the plus in x2, excellent speaker vol and flash isnt there in cedar. Speaker clarity is good though. And cedar interface is faster and does a little smartphone stuff too like multitask and smartdial.

But don't compare cedar with nokia 5250/5233/5230. Because they are smart phone and you have already mentioned that cedar doesn't have xvid,avi playback, touch screen. Though 5250,5233 have no 3g but 5230 has 3g and gps. They also support many symbian and java apps. And its true that C5 is the best.

Appu, 20 May 2011nokia x2-00 phone's picture clarity & sound clarity is very intresting..The thing is x2 is very bad in clarity while imaging, video and audio when you compare it with other phones. Besides whats all these with a 19hr battery ?

Everything listed as 5250's and 5233's plus over x2 is already available in the same price if you buy SonyEricsson Cedar. It got same high quality snapping at 2mp, multitasking(even inbox,sentmesages...Etc), 30fps video recording, vga, hvga, qvga,cif,360p playback, high quality audio and super high video (even 4840kbps bitrate)....
The only things that miss are touch screen, avi, xvid playback, document reader.
Besides unlike 5250 cedar got 3g , and the battery is more than 5250.
If upgrading budget buy c5 only. Thats another best-in-class phone like cedar.

The people who are planning to buy this phone please listen to me, X2 is a good phone for music, but not great. It's 5mp cam cannot take photos of good quality. It cant record and play video more than 320*240 pixel resolution. It runs S40 platform which is really slow and if you play games for a long time or use a lot of java apps after a few month the phone's software will crash( I and my friend are the victims). Don't buy this phone. You can buy nokia 5250 which has 2mp cam but it can can capture photos of great quality and record/play videos of 640*480 pixel resolution at 30 fps. It's a cheap smart phone which has 128mb ram and 434Mhz processor. It has good sound quality,supports multitasking and can give you a good touch experience at the same price range of X2. If you can increase your budget a little you can buy nokia 5233.... Cheers :-)

-X2 has a built in flash light which can also be use a... moreBuddy did you forgot I own x2 and cedar so dnt lie like this.
- 2gb card is free in both phones.I got them with both.
-x2 is 18fps and
* cedar is 30fps (download cedar information file .pdf from sony website or buy cedar, shoot video and test frame rate) its 30.
- x2's flash max range is 2.5metres, what difference unless as torch or very close photography?
- .wma file is not used by anyone today.it got the worst clarity with the max bitrate at 96kbps. .wma is 2006's stuff and not 2011.
- net speed is same in x2 and cedar. Class 32 or class 10 doesn't matter in india and most countries with max 2g bandwidth at 40kbps.
- x2's battery if acess net for an hour cuts down into 40% and dies out in max 16hours .
-cedar even with 13.27 hour of net stands rock solid for 43 hours.
-x2 cant multitask.
-x2 got no 3g.
-x2 got low quality image sensor same used in c2-01. Cedar got good quality 2mp sensor like in 5233,5250...
- I dont have a pblm with all nokias (i love n8,3500,3110....) and all sonys (i dnt give a thing for losers like w395, spiro and yendo) just good phones and bad phones.
Here x2 is a bad phone with just features and no real performance

I downloaded UC Browser 7.7 on my Nokia X2-00. UC Browser is thousand times better than Opera Mini as it has integration with facebook, twitter, snaptu, rocketalk, songs.pk, zedge, vuclip, mobango networks. UC Browser has download manager through which you can download multiple files at the same time. Not possible with Opera Mini. Downloading speed is also fast in UC Browser than Opera Mini. UC Browser makes your mobile a genuine wireless internet device. Best thing that it can be downloaded on every mobile that supports java sdk.

x2-00 have 5mp camera and Nokia N72 have 2mp camera but the N72 camera's zoom quality is best than x2-00. Nokia says it is 5MP camera but its quality is like 1.3MP camera.

hi...phone is pretty good...good music..but problem is battery...just one day...and if u play music even less than that...battery needs improvement..

List of problems with Nokia X2
1.Very Poor Battery performance both charging time as well as backup, even sometimes battery heatup
2. Many times hangup
3. Sudden click of camera and Music
4. No use of flash. Basically flash degrade the photo quality.
5. Having no multiple alarm
Beware before buying it. However no question/recommendation for buying the worst model from NOKIA

-X2 has 2GB memory card included
*no memory card supply with Cedar
-X2 2G speed faster because it has GPRS/EDGE class 32
*Cedar 2G speed slower thn X2 bcoz it has only GPRS/EDGE class 10
-X2 has 18fps video
*cedar has only 15fps video(see specification data)
-X2 music player can play .wma format audio
*cedar unable to play wma
