I have been using this phone for more than a year, its worst and hangs 100 times a day. Now I am moving to Samsung and will never come back to nokia..

Not a touch-screen phone, but still useful and quite versatile since it can connect to the internet, view webpages, send e-mails, capture images, record voice and videos.
Best fitted for people who like to play music. It has Stereo Widening and a basic Equalizer, with 5 preset settings and additional 2 custom settings that can be modified and saved. Dedicated keys allow much easier browsing, organizing and playing of music. Playlists are saved onto the phone's internal memory and the song list is automatically updated when the phone is switched on or when the memory card is inserted.
Voice recorder is designed for speech only, so background noise and music such as instrumentals are greatly attenuated or even eliminated, making the recorded sound unnatural. It supports playback of AMR-WB (or AWB), WAV and MP4 formats of recordings, but it is capable of recording in AMR (AMR-Narrow Band) format only.
Visibility in outdoors is bad, especially since the protective layer of the screen reflects sunlight. One must tilt the phone to be able to read the screen's display.
When the slide is opened, the phone becomes quite uncomfortable to hold since much of the phone's weight is transferred to the center of the phone and not on the holder's hand. Especially since the outer casing is quite smooth and slippery, the phone has a high chance of being accidentally dropped.
Some bugs. The phone sometimes hangs and shuts down on its own, like when trying to delete from a playlist a music that is being played. For a song without an album cover art, the Standard Media Player of the latest version (Version 11.00) of the phone's internal program displays the album cover art of the previous song played.
FM Radio has RDS and Auto-frequency to automatically track radio stations. Radio stations can also be manually browsed and saved. Radio has internal antenna and requires no headset or earphone to activate. It can be played via earphone or loudspeaker. It has no AM Radio.
It has an organizer, including a simple notepad, to-do list, alarm clock, as well as stopwatch, countdown timer and calculator. The notepad allows 5000 characters in one note, but only 30 separate notes can be saved in the phone. Notes cannot be saved or set to the Memory Card. At least, several external notepad applications can be downloaded from the web, allowing the notes to be saved to the Memory Card.
A very useful feature available for texts is the Copy/Cut/Paste features. There are also marking/unmarking options available for lists.
Camera does not have flash, not even a Night Mode, although it has an internal feature to edit any photo such as cropping the photo, adjusting its brightness, color range, contrast, or adding text to it.
Video recording is not very powerful, it has low resolution and the recorded video plays like slow-motion. But the sound recorded with the video is clear and much more realistic than the Voice Recorder.
OVERALL, it has a cool and unique design, but is quite difficult to hold comfortably when the slide is opened. It is a basic phone for most users, but is a very good phone that will satisfy most music lovers.
been using it for bout a year, it was cool, i luvd d design but i had to repair d flex thrice, internet speed is freaking slow, battery life is too short even wif a nu one, the phone reboots on its on accord, making calls is dificult wifout a headset. The fone is out ov d league get a better fone. #word
x3 is the worst mobile ever had.....its having a lot of problems....handset restarts...no battery backup...and worst of all is its network....once it disappears it ll come back after half a day....
me, 26 Jan 2012i hv used it fr 1 yr.. i used to like ,y fone very much.. but nw fr around two months, it swit... moreIt has a cool look. Its easy to handle and also has much better sound clarity than other previous nokia phones in this price range. But its software prob.s had threw this phone downmarket. Often the phon automatically restarts. Its battery backup got reduced to 9hrs only, even a new battery can't make a change. The music lists often gets multiplied. Messeges in the conversation mode gets mixed up with another conversation. It has now become vry difficult to handle. I hope nokia will take care of this.
i hv used it fr 1 yr.. i used to like ,y fone very much.. but nw fr around two months, it switches off.. the battery never stays. i put a new battery. stil its the prob wit the set..
it is one of the best but i don't undastnd the comments on the network failures
The design is good(portable),bt truly, bad software or wateva is making it 2 misbehave at tyms. Nokia shul do somtin.
Its not java enabled cell..., but good looking and its good for rough use...
bad phone, don't buy it... it crashes all the time when i hear music, if it cant take me using this function, then it cant possibily be a "music" phone righ?!
