Yeah, Symbian^3 is really going to have multitouch recolonization capability. Checkout in embedded video that pinch zoom feature is there. I doubt whether Nokia will have any S^3 supported phone this year or not.

If certain tou... moreMy man, its a capacitive touchscreen (not resistive) so the screen of course support multitouch. The question was why this phone still does not support multi touch?
The answer is Symbian S60 doesn't support multi touch capabilities. Means phone is ok by hardware end but not by the software side (you hold the converse in your comment!).
In case, Nokia do pass Symbian^3 on older handsets running older version of OS, this phone shall be able to run pinch zoom & other multitouch tasks. But possibility of this is very low that Nokia will ever pass new version of OS to older handsets.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2010Capacitive touchscreen standard supports multitouch. Don't know why Nokia can't.There are two types of Capacitive touchscreens.
First one uses Surface Capacitance Technology (basic technology) and Second one is Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT) Technology.
PCT is a capacitive technology which permits more accurate and flexible operation. Means You Can Use Your Finger Or Stylus. Both works Fine. HTC HD2 based on PCT.
Nokia Just Jumped Into Touchscreen Market. Try HTC if You Want A Multi Touch Capacitive Touchscreen (Like HTC HD2)
As per Asia, US site, sales package include WH 500 headset. As per Nokia India, & also confirmed from local dealer, it include WH 701. Why different accessories for different regions? BTW, WH 701 is more feature rich & newer, so good for India!
