I still have it, i once even replaced its battery and it still works, but due to lack of updates it's now more like a nice gadget, you can still make or receive voice calls and sms.

The phone that I never had but kept dreaming on this way back 2011. This is a charm and best phone during those years. If given the chance, I will buy this phone today as I can buy it now but its gone. A dream never fulfilled.

Ah yes, my first smartphone. I remember really wanting to play Angry birds so I saved up enough money and bought this beauty. The 720p video camera and the 1200 mAh battery might seem laughable now, back in its day it really was astounding.. or maybe it's just the nostalgia speaking. Sadly the battery has been dead on it when I found it in the wardrobe many years later, but it still felt so good to the touch. They don't make them like they used to any more.

Sorry, is not removable battery! You must go to service in order to change it and not to destroy the phone if you don`t know how to open it. And unfortunately almost nobody is interested anymore to repair symbian phones...

With nokia n8 you can downgrade by installing the origilnal version from SCANDINAVIA. I suppose for Nokia x7-e7-c7 will be the same since they're all of the same generation. Then, look for an image of Symbian Anna for nokia x7 and install it.
I did this on my Nokia n8 using PHOENIX and worked fine.

One bad thing I made was to upgrade it from Anna to Symbian Belle and I don`t like it, spent more memory and cannot reverse anymore...

More precise, the battery here is non-removable! Unfortunately Microsoft closed almost all apps on it destroying little by little symbian: social, weather, nokia account, even mail will not work anymore properly etc etc...
