AnonD-40, 20 Apr 2011They say that if Nokia's WP devices failed to bring in some cash then they will go Android. I ... morewho's they?
samsung, lg, htc, moto, se smartphones are now labeled or called or identified as android smartphones rather than the name brands. so nokia can't go android, if it wants to keep its identity and name.
Lets just wait how nokia winmo does, along with symbian anna.
AnonD-2117, 20 Apr 2011we know symbian3 lags but is android very smooth.....???? second thing u havent used anna(x7,... morei totally agree with you.. anna's going to make an history no matter what others say.. its surely gonna turn some android users to symbian cuz symbian drawbacks are recovered in that update... lets hope for the best,..

You need pure CPU po... moremy bro nokia is soon going to stop this 680mHZ nonsense..........the first nokia wp7 isnt very far away..........after that, higher-mid range symbian phones like n8 and x7 would shift to mid range and high end e7 would shift to high mid range..........and i think anna would do something good to these symbian phones........
The Real, 20 Apr 2011For all you diehard nokia fanboys please answer me this, why is nokias os still so slow & ... morewe know symbian3 lags but is android very smooth.....????
second thing u havent used anna(x7, e6 and anna update are not yet released) so how could u say it lags, nokia isnt that idiot to release an update without any performance tweaks.........so plz shut ur mouth until u know anything.........

I personally believe that Nokia will get more cash with a multi-OS approach. A lot of Android fans will definitely buy a Nokia Android device for its hardware. MeeGo may not be able to take off. It had a lot of potential but they need to have good support from OEMs. Sadly, it seems like LG will have a MeeGo devices first before Nokia can launch their's.
AnonD-40, 20 Apr 2011I missed that. Sorry. My source was mobilereview.com and Eldar pretty much said the same thing. *** my bad
*** am referring to 1 ghz android smartphones
also i don't despise nokia's change. i like the change. in 2014, sources say via symbian-freak.com, nokia will stop supporting symbian OS. perhaps, the symbian OS will emerge as meeGO when that time comes. for now, i'm waiting for nokia winmo devices.

Nokia can put on a 1900 mAh in there and have a great battery life. The current generation of 1 GHz and dual core CPUs are also more power efficient so the assumption that they consume more power is non sense. They execute tasks faster so in theory, they work more efficient and uses less power.
I feel like you despises the changes that's happening with Nokia but remember that they are on a transition stage and things are still hazy for Nokia's confused fans.

nokia is doing that to provide two ranges of smartphones one being a high end and the other a mid-range in which nokia has already been doing.

again, nokia symbian anna smartphones will remain with 600+ mhz, while nokia winmo devices will have 1 ghz.
also, i am pointing out that nokia 1 ghz processors can drain the battery life so easily.

I also read somewhere that Nokia is using Fixed Focus cam so that they can use Auto Focus on their WP devices. It's like they did it on purpose so that people who wants Auto focus cam on a phone will go and buy their WP devices. Tegra 3 is coming out this fall and it's a quad and we might see quad core Nokias next year. Android is good but WP is smoother. WP is more like iOS when it comes to smoothness of UI. I just don't like the square icons taking up the majority of space up front and the wasted space on the right hand side of WP.
