One fine example (again from Nokia) that bigger is not necessary better and like in this case... worse (and ugly)
why don't you guys look at the PROS of this phone? the resolution is not bad, i mean every "NORMAL" person holds the phone 12" or farther from their face, so you won't be able to see a big difference in screens of this and iphone 4, or Galaxy S etc. The Amoled makes it UP! id rather chose the Amoled than TFT....... the 680 mhz is not very fast but its not bad... its just enough, so is the new symbian, the camera HD, and everything! the 4 speakers are Awesome! so this phone is good in overall..... 8/10 I think......
Too bad... Nokia is still in 20th century...
Still lagging in Operating speed, still trying to convenience everyone with high MP cam without auto focus. Wake up Nokia, wake up....
WTF!!! So coooolll, with awesome design, but there has to be a secondary camera!! and whats with the fixed focus thing??!!! Come on Nokia u can do better than that!!!
This phone fails on every level, in every way. It looks cool from the front, but the back is all rounded and ugly. It's also enormous with its 4" screen; why couldn't we get this with the same form factor of the N8? It's all the same hardware in there. And no, there are NOT 4 speakers - that was only an assumption people had made. It does have two, but who cares. The price will be outrageous wfor the now completely outdated chipset in this thing. If Nokia didn't have the cooler shell designs, there would be NO reason to look at their phones anymore. That's all that selling them, the looks. Nobody wants what's inside! Don't waste your money on this junk!
usedtolovenokia, 26 Nov 2010Obsolete ARM 11 cpu, 360x640 resolution, wierd design. Well, good luck Nokia. But of course ... moreObviously ARM11 processors are not obsolete since Nokia uses them. And our 'bricks' are more efficient and will last longer than your Android or iOS, or Bada or whatever phone and OS you're using.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2011i too am very disappointed with nokia especially their quality. my N8 hanged after 3 days use.... moreHonestly most of you people are liars. Maybe you're someone who works for Apple or 1 of the companies that use Android OS. what are the chances of you and your brother getting defective handsets?
I love Nokia, but since the N8 came out, all new phones thereafter have fixed focus cameras, great for scenery but not portraits, which most people use their cameraphone for! Why the move backwards Nokia? Are you trying to sell more N8 phones by giving every other phone a shittier camera?
- No Carl Zeiss lens
- No Auto Focus
- No frontal camera
- The "dead" symbian OS.
What's the deal ?
I could buy it with the "dead" symbian OS if it becomes with Carl Zeiss lens + Auto Focus + Frontal Camera... maybe...
Nokia, rest in peace!! If you continue like this, you will be the world's 4th mobile phone maker soon! :( You should announce that Meego device already!! Where are the Dual Core Symbian phones you promised?? You announced only 2 weak smart phones this year. :( The E6 is awful. The X7 looks cool, but the specs are so 2009.
Yana, 11 Apr 2011Still on 4 inch (Screen) I love 6 inchesthats good to know that you like 6" have you ever had 7" or larger?
nokia's are like totally big in the game, they are well nice and fast at doing tings. Big up to all my nokia lovers
symbian and my path parted more that 2 years ago... sad actually, but today i'm can’t believe i stuck for so long with symbian - since 1999 with my first 'indestructible brick' 5110.
today im the proud owner of a droid. couldn’t be happier.
history apart, there is one specific theme stuck with all the pro-symbian fans: "why does nokia need better hardware (cpu, ram etc.)" & "symbian can run on the good ol' 680mhz bla bla bla".
must confess, the hardware alone doesn't make the phone great (as the new 1.2ghz BB is not that appealing to me either, most probable the RIM OS).
come on. don’t you guys also want to see nokia up there with the other top dogs? how come symbian is not bringing out a tablet or something for example? (not that i specifically want one, but still). why is that all the new ‘nice to have’ features are available on android and iOS (Playstation, 3D, 1080p, tablets etc.)?
to think nokia was always on the foreground when it comes to development and innovation, of which plentiful ideas and designs are now evident on many other phones. but, unfortunately they forgot to keep the OS up to date.
and the move to wm7? well, in my opinion, it’s not the winning combination. Anna OS should have emerged long time ago.
Who knows… maybe my path will cross with nokia once again in the future, but not while dragging symbian with or the new quick fix wm7…
