[deleted post]I have a love/hate feeling for Nokia. I grew up using Nokia phones but they lost me when they introduced the abomination known as N97. It's hard to forgive them after that crap. Their pride, hardheadedness, and arrogance brought them down. Now Elop is trying to steer the giant ship back on course and I just hope that he delivers. If WP fails, then there's always Android. I strongly believe that they should have taken a multi-OS approach but Elop is an MS guy, and he's doing things the "MS way". By saying the "MS way", I mean destroying rivals, or potential rivals completely and MS has that trait embedded in their genes. I believe that Elop/MS killed Symbian and jeopardized MeeGo since the latter can become a big threat to WP.
Anyways, I have learned to have no attachments to any company/brand. It's better that way but there's something about Nokia that makes me hate the company. Maybe it's the turbulent politics inside the company or their short comings when it domes to dealing with defects. I just hope that a WP Nokia will change my feelings and win me over once again.

The low res of Symbian phones is said/rumored to be an OS limitation and it's bolstered by the fact that Nokia have not released a higher resolution device save for the E7 which looks to have a 4:3 screen format but still nowhere near as high as current Android phones. Whether it's true or not, we may never find out as Nokia will be shifting its focus on WP in the near future.
I have a little question for you... are you going to try a WP device from Nokia?

The screen resolution would be a reason for me to not buy this phone. Otherwise, I really like the specs, the design and so, but the screen res... a turn down.
It can play almost all types of video. So sad it does not have a tv-out.
Give me something new. This phone is just a slight midification of the previous one!!!
The screen res, I just don't understand what Nokia is thinking, how can it compete with such a low resolution screen? I love Nokia phones, but this is an instant turn down.
It feels freakish to know that Nokia still uses low powered CPUs in such high end smartphones. No inuitive USER INTERFACE , no GOOD PROCESSOR , no SECONDARY CAMERA, no NICE APPS from OVI , tell me why should Nokia Launch such old skool Phones.
give me one reason...just one reason why would i buy this phone but not the nokia n8 (which is also btw inferior to the iphone4 and the samsung galaxy s 2)
the nokia n8 has the following advantages over the x7
x7 has the following advantage over the n8
nokia is soooo behind in the mobile phones market... competing with sony ericcsson on who comes last
