Worse, none of the google apps work, and it's claiming to be an android based phone

Eagle this has nothing to do vpn. You just activated lock screen security setting. Go to settings, scroll down select security , then screen security, enter your lock screen password and and select NONE. This will remove the lock screen password.

Use screen guard anti glare type for increasing sunlight readibility (but clearity down)

I have purchased Nokia XL a few months ago particularly to use Wordsap. I am facing a problem in this model because Wordsap does not work in this phone even taking internet pack or Wifi. I have been informed by Nokia Service Centre that this phone is not supported Android it is only Window support. What is solution to get wordsap?
