Nothing

Nothing has announced that it will be joined by Teenage Engineering as a founding partner of the company. The co-founder and CEO of Teenage Engineering — Jesper Kouthoofd — will be the Creating Lead for Nothing's designs while vice head of design Tom Howard has been appointed as Head of Design of Nothing.

“When Carl first told me about Nothing’s vision I remember being super excited thinking about how this would be translated into the design identity of the products. After months of research and development, we are now in a place where I believe we will have something exciting to show to the world,” said Jesper Kouthoofd.

Teenage Engineering is a Swedish company based out of Stockholm. They are known primarily for the iconic OP-1 synthesizer but the brand also makes other audio products with a strong emphasis on design. The company also collaborates with other brands for designing their products, including the likes of IKEA for the FREKVENS and Panic for the upcoming Playdate portable console.

Nothing is the London-based technology company founded by Carl Pei, erstwhile founder of OnePlus. While the company is yet to announce any products, it recently announced its acquisition of the Essential brand along with plans to launch wireless earbuds later this year.
