At least where i live, you cant get a Motorola phone officially. Whereas with Nothing ,i could walk to the nearby mall and snag one with or without contract. I would love to get the edge 40 or even a pixel 7A, but availability in stores and repair centers kinda make me prefer the Nothing but you are right, nothings being hella stingy.
You may be thinking, WHy NoT a XimI,ViVo,SAmSUNG, or others?
1. I do not trust any Xiaomi products at all (software and hardware)
2. I dont trust any of BBKS products and vivos as well (same reason as ximi)
3. I just dont like OneUI idk why but i just dont at all.

Shame you won't get one, which is where Nothing is being honest with their brand name, because that's exactly what you are getting. The Poco X6 Pro, the 2 Moto phones and even vivo includes a case. Not to mention they all come with a charger as well.
So anyways, if I'm really not bothered by not getting accessories in the box, tell me one good reason why I shouldn't just wait and get the Galaxy A55, or get the Galaxy A54 right now?

Their track record? I've been using vivo phones for years, durability is excellent. Either way that's not what I meant by build quality, but an all plastic phone will always feel always feel cheap, at least vivo gives you glass, while Moto either offers faux leather or gives you a case in the box, or both.

justasmile, 07 Mar 2024What’s the big deal of paying more for 256gb?Oh I don't know, maybe the fact that it costs a lot more? It's also not that easy to just pay more when it's a budget phone, if you only have enough spare money for the 128gb version then you aren't just getting less storage but also a worse device.

Moto Edge 40’s significantly better than that, but the screen is still most likely less scratch resistant than phone 2a too.

Plus that's even worse if they give you UFS 3.1 on the 256gb model, but not on the 128gb model.

I wouldn't trust this Nothing company with a single picture on my phone let alone any other data I have, they can't even be transparent about what storage they are using. They are a lot like OnePlus at this point, and unfortunatelly not the old one.

The back of the phone being transparent plastic instead of glass sadly is a killer for me. Otherwise nice phone.

Yes, after my S23 got corrupt data and lost all the 2 weeks trip photos and videos synking in cloud the corrupted files, on the sd card you can try to recover but not on the reseted phone. So yes, my next phone is a MAST with the sd card !!!

Moto Edge 40, in return, will only get a year of software updates left from Android 14 compared to 3. Edge screen is a disadvantage too. And of course, definitely not the superior feel of Nothing OS.
