As teased numerous times on social media, Nothing confirmed today its plans to unveil the Phone (3a) series on March 4 at 10 AM GMT. Going by their past online teasers, we expect the series to include two devices - the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro.

Besides the launch date, today Nothing also corroborated some key camera specs for us and gave us a shot of the unusual camera island of what is likely the Pro model.

Nothing Phone (3a) is coming March 4 with 50MP 3x camera, bigger 50MP main

The four cameras of the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) Pro include a 50MP "Shake Free" OIS main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with a periscope lens, an 8MP Sony-made ultrawide, and a 50MP front camera.

It appears the periscope will offer 3x optical, 6x in-sensor, and 60x "ultra" zoom. Nothing says it's a 70mm focal length.

The main camera will also get an upgrade over the Nothing Phone (2a), thanks to a bigger 50MP sensor. Nothing says it captures 64% more light at the pixel level and has a 300% full well capacity vs the (2a).

Nothing details what exactly a full well capacity means in this video, which pits the unreleased Nothing Phone (3a) Pro against the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max in a camera shootout in London.

The Phone (3a) series brings Nothing's TrueLens Engine 3.0, which combines the upgraded hardware with AI tone mapping and scene detection for "professional-grade, true-to-life" results.

Nothing confirmed that all four cameras on the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) devices support Ultra HDR, while the main and front cameras support 4K video with "stable footage and night enhancement".

The Nothing Phone (3a) series will feature a Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 chipset, a 6.72-inch 120Hz AMOLED, IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery. We expect the vanilla Nothing Phone (3a) to have 2x zoom camera, and the Pro to have the 3x periscope as mentioned earlier.

I like the ARM v9 implementation. And, if the price is right, could be a tempting offer. My only complain is the size, but... I guess we'll just have to accept it. I am curious about RAM type (LPDDR4x or LPDDR5?) and storage (UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1?...

I never said they are? I don't even mention OnePlus or Moto.

This is 3a. You can wait for the 3. This 3a doesn't sound like it will be a cheap "midrange" either.
