Nubia’s upcoming Red Magic 5G is shaping up to be a real monster with the Snapdragon 865 chipset, 144Hz refresh rate screen and dual-mode 5G connectivity. Adding to the impressive spec list is the latest tease from the brand’s CEO Ni Fei, who confirmed all versions of the phone will come with Samsung LPDDR5 RAM chips as standard.

Earlier this week, Fei confirmed the Red Magic 5G will come with up to 16GB RAM, a 64MP main camera and a physical fan which would also prevent the phone from overheating during fast charging cycles.

Samsung’s LPDDR5 is rated as 50% faster than the preceding LPDDR4X standard with transfer speeds of up to 6,400Mbps. Samsung introduced its LPDDR5 solution back in July 2018 and entered the mass production phase this past July.

Nah, LPDDR5 is standard with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, so every phone with 865 will have LPDDR5
