There’s a new flagship from nubia called the Z30 Pro and it brings a compelling camera experience with three 64MP shooters alongside Qualcomm’s best Snapdragon 888 and a 144Hz refresh rate display. If these specs sound familiar it’s because we’ve seen them in ZTE’s Axon 30 Ultra which launched last month.
The Z30 Pro features a curved 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel can output 10bit colors and brings HDR10+ support in a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Around the back, we have a 64MP main cam with a Sony IMX686 sensor and OIS. The second 64MP module features a longer 35mm lens while the third 64MP sensor is an ultrawide module with a 120-degree field of view.
There’s also an 8MP periscope with 5x optical and 50x digital zoom. This one has an equivalent focal length of 123mm and also comes with OIS to cope with shaky hands when zooming into subjects.
The Snapdragon 888 can be paired with 8/12 or 16GB RAM and 256 or 512GB storage. The software front is covered by nubia UI 9.0 based on Android 11. The new skin brings an overahuled UI with all-new icons, wallpapers, animations and AOD watchfaces. There’s a 4,600 mAh battery here and nubia is bringing a 120W charger which should fill up the cell from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes.
The nubia Z30 Pro will be available in black and silver colors. The 8/256GB model will sell for CNY 4,999 ($777) while the 12/256GB trim goes for CNY 5,399 ($840). There’s a top of the line 16GB RAM and 512GB storage which goes for CNY 5,999 ($932). Official sales in China are set to begin on May 25.
