I should be getting my X3 in a couple of days. I want to be sure I have the latest (working) firmware version. What is the best way to check this ?
Many thanks in advance
Oops cant even spell my own name now (on my last post) - pmsl!!
Shaun can you if your on tonight also post your box codes and label codes etc?
As ill try and change mine tommorow if I see the codes on here tonight!
Btw - my latest phone had the 9BQ02X3N code on the inside label - but had the old firmware!
Dont have the box code as they just swapped the phone so i have my original box from the 1st phone!
Cheers TJ - any info appreciated as im waiting to take my 3rd one back again - so I want to make sure I get a replacement with the latest firmware which hopefully sorts out my and Khalids problems of not being able to send mms after a week of having the phone!! grrrrr
And I cant really expect them to open everyone they have to check the sw version - thats why I want the box codes!!
Andy - I got my 512mb card and my reader from www.valuemedia.co.uk, or try www.onlinememory.co.uk
BTW, I will also post the info on my box exactly as it appears when I get home.
OK, haven't posted in a few days, been busy. My software version IS EXACTLY AS I POSTED EARLIER. Why would I bother making it up?! However, my box version is NOT the new one starting with 9BQ, it starts with 1BQ. Don't have the box, but I have a feeling I may have the number with a digit missing as per below.
I have not had a chance to post any pics yet, just no time. I will try and do so tonight. I will also post a photo of the screen showing the new software version, for all the non-believers!
I still love this phone. I am taking decent (enough) photos (though not as good as my gf's K700i), watching widescreen films (I have a 512mb mem card) and I haven't charged it in 2 days and only dropped 1 bar on the bat display!
I've just ordered the X3....should I be regretting it?!? lol
My box version is 101B2108 and code is 1BQO2X3N which I think is the older one as the new ones are 9BQO2X3N I believe - I thought some folk with older phones had 101B1108 but I'm not sure.....
:) Stephen. I guess I probably could but I think my time limit was 14 days and not 28 - however I might receive the same version as a replacement and my present phone does seem to work ok generally so I might just let it be, I think I took delivery on Oct 22nd so that's almost 3 weeks already.
where can i get a cheap sd reader as i have fallen for the 02 X3 con about uploading mp3s and the video downloads.
is it true the first batch of nokia 7610 were all blurry
wot ? video send ? i can
to what i see from the spec that it cant record or send video messages.
Has anyone looked at the info onwww.mobile-review.com in forums on X3 someone has given the box code for the new version
but ..... its v similar to the old one but one digit is missing
old version (mine) is 101B2108 - the new one listed on there is 101B208 me thinks someone missed a number out as it doesnt conform to O2s previous versions!
any ideas anyone?
Charliepie - im sure you can come up with something thats not working properle, i.e. speaker volume doesnt alter when you turn it up / down, the camera at night in indoor mode sometimes makes the screen go completely black etc :) all faults which entitle you to exchange upto 28 days from receipt of it :)
Shaun, TJ etc can you provide the box codes, for the phones with the new software on (so I can make sure my next exchange on is the one with the latest software on)
David - Khalid has been in touch with O2 data support many times over probs with our phones and he has also posted that he has been told there is a new version out - If Khalid said it then I do belive it!!
can we see a photo of the screen ?
who has confirmed it david? I for one choose to believe Shaun as he has posted details of the new s/w and why should he lie about it? It all depends who you talk to I guess and o2's cust ser is not too hot at the best of times!
David - how u know for certain there is no new software out? - shaun and tj must be clever if they made the dates n versions up as they run in the correct O2 format (but im still scepticle myself lol)
