my xda2i can't detect my gsm. (i havent used my xda for 2 months)phone is always no service, what is the problem of my fon? also, the battery consumption is extremely fast. This happened after i used another battery that is malfunctioning. (before my 2 batteries are functioning well, now, 1 is malfunctioning,i think that battery messed up my fon) HELP PLS

i think you have to use the backup and restore options of ur XDA.. if you havent backedup ur previous settings reinstall all ur aps, make a backup after install so that you can restore it whenever ur XDA crashes..

Jason, 20 Aug 2008Actually i encountered the same problem too, can anyone tell us how we can put back the settin... moreit is not enough to remove battery. let the back up battery run down completely. then when you recharge it it boots up the factory settings.

Hi to all XDAIIi users - i recently bought this unit 2nd hand. I agree with the others who said that this is an amazing phone because of its practical features that one can use as an alternate tool to their laptops and PCs. However, I just noticed that songs that have wma extension files can be used as ringtone. is this true? do you have the same experience? how about the message alert tone? can you customize or personalize it if you want to use true tones for incoming messages? Lastly, while I was using it, the speaker does not seem to work anymore. I cannot hear any tone for my incoming messages. I am trying to listen to my mp3s but no sound comees out of it. Although I tried to use a headset, I can slightly hear a sound. I brought it to a technician who told me that the problem is with the mouthpiece? he said that the mouthpiece is connected to the speakers. I am beginning to get depressed. Can somebody here tell me if you have experienced the same scenario..... it would be a big comfort to know and hear from the others what they did..... thank you very much and more power to all.... regards

how can i activate the wi-fi?? Ive red the instructions but still it doesnt work at all.. also the WLan manager doesnt turn on... How can i turn it on??? please reply

I have a problem with mine... it always searches for the service provider.... but when in a no gprs zone it works fine... can anyone tell me why!

Jason, 20 Aug 2008Actually i encountered the same problem too, can anyone tell us how we can put back the settin... moretry the hard reset: hold the power button and pres the reset button, this should bring your XDA to factory settings,,,by the way,,,it's f...n amazing XDA,,,I've been using it for aver two year salong with GPS (tomtom 6.0) and no problems at all...best PDA/Mobile ever...regards
