OnePlus Android Rumors

OnePlus has always enjoyed playing with textures for its phones' rears, and it looks like the OnePlus 12 will come with a surprise up its sleeve. According to prolific (and often right) Digital Chat Station, the upcoming flagship smartphone will be available in one version that will have a wood texture back.

Or maybe it's a wood texture case, machine translation is ambiguous, and the picture itself sure doesn't help make things clear either. It's also up for debate if it's going to be actual wood, or just plastic or glass (or another material) made to mimic wood texture.

OnePlus 12 might have a wood texture back, or at least a wood texture case

OnePlus has offered wood texture cases for some of its devices in the past, and even wood texture removable backs for its first ever smartphone, the OnePlus One - we're assuming the move to wood with the OnePlus 12 is meant as a shoutout to the company's first model.

Since the picture doesn't help too much with the confusion here, we're going to assume it's more likely for OnePlus to offer a wood texture case. It's would be easier to make than applying such a texture to the phone's back, but - crazier things have happened in the mobile world, so let's wait and see what happens.

The OnePlus 12 is set to be unveiled for the Chinese market on December 4 and for international markets in January.

If its real world then hopefully its sealed, since moisture can get trapped inside, and since phones get warm, it could draw the moisture back into the phone and damage it, which definitely doesn't help solidify OnePlus's tendency to not ma...
