Just throw in a sd820
FHD screen (5.5'+)
a sdcard slot (I'm optimistic about that after OP X)
better Finger Print Sensor
NFC (not a big deal for me)
Design similar to OP2 (slimmer if possible)
All of this at a price similar to that of OP2
Ghostrider , 27 Mar 2016Are we sure oneplus 3 is going to get a 6gb ram for the 64gb rom version? snapdragon 820 chips can only manage 4GB ram at this stage. 6 GB is highly unlikely
Sridhar, 26 Mar 2016Everything is fine but I will suggest three points here 1) we need High resolution screen 4k, ... more4k screen..... That itself would require a big battery. Also for a 5.5 inch mobile I don't think it requires anything more than a qhd screen. 4k screens are for televisions
vai0, 26 Mar 2016whats new here. same old specs. and whats that 32gb. there should be a card slot/64gb/128gb in... moreWell no one is sure about the actual design of this mobile yet. The picture given of oneplus 3 over here might not actually be the correct one. Also, oneplus 2 had a few hardware flaws. I think the oneplus 3 will have all the flaws fixed
jenny, 25 Mar 2016Seriously, who in the earth need need 6GB of RAM in a smartphone? smh. I think 3 GB is already max.Are we sure oneplus 3 is going to get a 6gb ram for the 64gb rom version?
AnonD-455159, 25 Mar 2016Qc 3.0 and 2k display, these both are must otherwise no, thank you. You won't even be able to distinguish between a full HD and 2k screen, if you do it means you aren't human
AnonD-507882, 27 Mar 2016not impressive :/ expected amoled display, uhd 4k 5.2 inch screen, dual speakers, quick charge... moreIf the oneplus had all those features it would be costlier than an iPhone 6.
not impressive :/ expected amoled display, uhd 4k 5.2 inch screen, dual speakers, quick charge, dust proof and water resistant, 128gb or sd card slot, 5000mah battery
very disappointed with oneplus :(
vai0, 26 Mar 2016whats new here. same old specs. and whats that 32gb. there should be a card slot/64gb/128gb in... moreExactly. Nothing new important here.
We need major android improvements this year:
1) Reading mode is a must (anything below 7 inch display must have a reading mode)
2) occasional web scrolling stutter and Web scrolling lag must be gone (yes they are still present even on stock Android phones)
3) stock Android keyboard needs to become easier (at least like samsung stock keyboard)
4) Web page loading must become faster and closers to home pc experience
WE NEED BETTER ANDROID THIS YEAR, other wise all these new phones are more or less the same. And there are no significant advantages in iPhone either (except maybe not having any scrolling stutter or lag) .
I don't see why people complain about 1080 res. You really don't need more than that. If you say it's for VR then that is nonsense. Who really uses that? It's a gimmick. Stop buying into gimmicks. It's the whole 3D nonsense all over again. Look where that ended up. 2k VR looks crap anyway so 1080 ain't gonna change much.
FHD is fine, QHD is useless since it eats battery pretty fast and there is not much media available in that resolution, now QC 3.0 is a must and NFC for Android Pay, everything else is flagship grade.
AnonD-455159, 25 Mar 2016Qc 3.0 and 2k display, these both are must otherwise no, thank you. the screen here is FHD 1080x1920 but oneplus 3 aka 1+3 has quick charge 3 and with fhd it will charge even faster than having quick charge 3 and 2k screen
already xiaomi had done mistake with out having micro sd card same mistake is done by oneplus 3 i dont appreciate it
AnonD-455159, 26 Mar 2016There are vr headsets and if they go with qc 3.0 then even if the display eats a bit of batter... moreTrue but budget phones like this one usually may not get some fancy features like QHD display (even OP2 trades NFC for a fingerprint) in order to make it much more affordable, QC 3.0 will probably supported though since it will be SD820. Mi5 used to be rumored with 2160p as well but ends up getting 1080p instead.
8knots, 26 Mar 2016Why would you even need QHD if you can get better performance and battery life with just FHD?There are vr headsets and if they go with qc 3.0 then even if the display eats a bit of battery, no problem, phone will be charged in very less time compared to op2. Sounds fair, doesn't it?
