OnePlus Android

OnePlus’ successor of the 3 and the 3T will be named OnePlus 5 and will arrive this summer. This was confirmed to The Verge and is the first official information from Shenzhen.

Until now we only had teasers, rumors and leaks. They suggested that the phone will arrive with 5.5” screen of QHD resolution and a Snapdragon 835 chipset. The RAM will be 6 GB but leaks for 8 GB appeared as well.

OnePlus decided to skip the 4 since the number is considered unlucky in China. The company also said one of the reasons for picking the 5 is the number five jersey of a former NBA player Robert Horry, who is considered a favorite among many employees of the Chinese company.

Really Robert Horry? Sound like completely out of blue excuse to put 5 on a number. If all oneplus employees are basketball fans, why not just instead put numbers like one plus 23 and call it LeBron or Jordan edition? Lame

Not sure what you mean "market"? Do you mean from a network? Likely not. But you can buy it from OnePlus from their website, there's nothing dodgy about that. You're buying it from the manufacturer.
