I've read at least 5 comments in a row saying battery life is bad because of the 6inch screen.
For your informations newbies, the battery drain comes from higher resolution, not higher screen.
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2017And Nokia 8 is miles better than op5t. 2k display with 554ppi and max700 nits. Oreo. Updates. ... morewhile you are mostly right i have to say that the Nokia brand doesn't mean sh1t anymore, they lost it down the toilette when partnering with MS and their sh!tty OS, also the N8 has like the most generic design ever made
Unfortunately OP is loosing their way !
It is another pointless model that will not have success on most of markets.
I guess that 5 is not selling well, too.
Couriers subsidized phones (like S8) are much better deals and price and performance are similar.
- No new android system (still android N)
- No CPU upgrade
- No OIS
- higher screen resolution with same battery size will be disaster
BTW I see no reason for name 5T since name 6 is available
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2017Better than having notch!!Worse, now the sides are used for nothing. When having a nothch you use the most amount of front face possible. Now you have dumb bezel instead... Bezels should die.
Also the notch (TM) is a stopgap. Eventually Apple would put them underscreen, androids would be holding their d***s as it happens. So sad to see the industry leaders becoming industry followers...
I think there are not any great decision and amendment for this new launch...as a customer we expect more from oneplus phones now
1)there should be a deal for upgraded Android Oreo .
2) memory should pe expandable with dedicated slot.
4)finger sensor could be at front..but that's not a issue..that's OK.
5) water resistant.
That's my expectations from oneplus .
Everyone could have there opinion.
I hope for a new launch it will be better and our expectations will not be down.

Nokia brand. And a lot more. No unsolicited data stealing.
Nikos, 17 Nov 2017No card slot ?? Terrible and bye bye !!!!!!!!!!128GB is not enough? :D lol looser
Nikos, 17 Nov 2017No card slot ?? Terrible and bye bye !!!!!!!!!!128 gb is already more than enough, saving files, photos and heavy applications though, especially with 6 gb ram indeed is terrible and fantastic.
I think this will be failure in battery side . Oneplus 5 3300mah battery. 5.5 display....
oneplus 5T 3300mah BATTERY. 6.01 DISPLAY. BATTERY SHOULD BE MORE THAN ONEPLUS 5
no android oreo 8 . no waterproofing or splash resistence . no always on display . no card slot for memory expansion . no ois .. yet it is 500 .and why all now headed to make 6 inch screens . bad turn over

Its OP cheating users with releasing with an already existing OS version ,and then claiming to release 2 updates for the phone
ozhan728, 16 Nov 2017You gotta be kidding me =))) 7.1 at launch Sony released a device months ago with oreo and up... moreI think it's to regulate or limit the major updates that the phone will get. So the first big update is Oreo then the P after, which may be the last for the device. Kinda selfish but yeah.
Miles better than Razer phone the least. You can save $200+ bucks with only the loss of Dual Speakers, Gimmick low nit 120hz screen and SD Card(this might hurt a lot).
But then again these phone have miles better camera(20+16mp/16mp having EIS), 3.5mm jack(with decent DAC), BT5.0, higher nit/brightness AMOLED Screen, etc. worth $500-$560
The biggest gripe would probably be the 3300mah battery which would be drained hard by the 6" screen.
How difficult is it to pack stereo speakers in such a huge body? The earpiece can definitely double as a front facing second speaker right? There have been hacks for that... why not in an upgraded model?
And two lenses with almost same aperture and focal length!!? An ultra wide second lens would have made so much more practical sense like in the LG flagships or in the midrange zenfone 4...
Simple things, but never done
