Both have a water drop notch. Both have Sony IMX 586 sensor -> 48MP camera

Are the improvements incremental or a worthy upgrade especially the camera quality, speakers & performance?

All hardware is correct but however post click picture image processing is weak. The machine language / code and algorithm is not robust. oneplus programer and coder must emphasis on software improvement. How oppo reno just do better with same specs in main camera ?

It's very interesting that only the Chinese version of OP 7 has 12Gb-256gb version.

Interestingly enough, the OP7 (8+256) is actually cheaper than the Honor V20, Mi 9 and their own 6T (8+256), same price with Mi 9 (6+128) and K20 Pro AKA flagship killer (8+256)...in China. Getting this phone is an absolute steal there. It's quite unfortunate its availability is rather scarce, being overshadowed by the bigger brother OP7 Pro and for the released regions, price difference between China and UK, India sets ATM is really substantial, even getting an imported set is slightly cheaper.

The phone isn't out yet,how are there feedback on cameras?
I don't know about other manufacturers,but I have been using one plus 3 for 3 years of rough use.I have dropped it many times,gotten it wet,dropped it on rocks while hiking and it was still working great till yesterday when I dropped it from my bike while riding at almost 100km/h.it's still working fine except that screen is too damaged now for it to be very practical.so it's a very sturdy phone at a great price point.I would have used it for another year maybe if not for this accident.
