I came from OP7T, all I can say it is different in regards with the phone experience (physically) though in paper it is just few millimeter difference but it translates in a lighter, more easy to hold and more pocket friendly.
Software wise it is a no brainer same experience.
except from no drops with my 5ghz wifi, with my 7t I always get random drops on my 5ghz network. maybe software related.
the battery, it is improved or maybe because it is bigger 4300 va 3800 mah. I get around 7hrs to 7.5hrs sot with oneplus 8 and around 5 to 6hrs sot with oneplus 7t.
that's ALL the difference I observed within the past 3 days I am using this phone.
It is enough to justify the $100 increase? NO. so I'd say keep your 7t and wait for the OP9.
Good thing I got mine used for 1 week for around $529, so I bought it in a heartbeat.
Anonymous, 09 May 2020So which one do u recommend 7pro or 8? go for 7pro or 7t since the price already drop and 5g still not fully available yet right now
I think Oneplus should make a 4G varient of Oneplus 8 price it between 35k-38k at least for the base varient in India, that would be more worth buying, 5g is still kind of useless feature to have & by the time 5g arrives this phone would be outdated. Just my opinion
--voltaire9, 07 May 2020My vanilla Oneplus 8 is just fine, plus model is too big and,I can't get it through Tmob anyway... moreWell I'm a french press journalist and I put my hands on the OnePlus 8 from my personnal OP 7 Pro and I had the same feeling. The smartphone feels so good in the hand this is incredible. But I know think the mechanical pop up is so slow. The best thing on the OP 8 is for sure the awekening of Face Unlock
Anonymous, 05 May 20208 pro is overpriced for me, so 7t pro or OnePlus 8, which one I should buy?? If you care about 5G, go for the 8. If it doesn't matter to you, the 7T Pro is a sweet device.

I had the Oneplus 7Pro but traded it in for the 8,when I was holding both devices, the 7 pro felt bulky and out dated in comparison.Weird but true. The one thing that caught me by a nice surprise was the return of POCKET MODE!!!!I hated the exclusion of that feature in all of the 7 series. Was the worst in the 7T.Oneplus 8 has a great feel in the hand due to it's narrow body.Looks like a Galaxy s10 from the front and sides tho.

Like the OnePlus 8. I have the glacier green 12 GB ram version in UK. Love the size, speed and screen. Also love the camera... My last phone was the OnePlus 5t, do it's a big step up. I like the Macro and the ultra wide.
Overall very happy. Glad I went for this rather than the Pro as like the size and don't think I would have noticed the difference in terms of value.
Yash, 15 Apr 2020It has wireless chargingThe OP 8 does not have wireless charging. Only the 8 Pro variant includes Qi WC.
Prashu, 21 Apr 2020Can anybody please suggest is this phone best? I am apple user last 9 years. There is no "best phone". This is a decision you need to make ok your own, as you're the one going to be using it not.
Nice look which One Plus would have included a case and screen protector in the box. One had it for an hour before it started getting hot while not in use. And there was no updates running or apps updating. So I boxed it up and returned it.
cleanclover, 29 Apr 2020Are there any display issues on oneplus 8? Thank you. None.
Why the hell OnePlus is not including a damn headphone jack on their phones??
Saba, 29 Apr 202016 or 1 billion colores?OnePlus 8 has 16m and OP8Pro has 1b
