Sony IMX766 has dimensions of 8.19 mm x 6.14 mm, Diagonal: 0.455 inch. then why is it called a large 1 / 1.56 inches or 0.641 inch sensor?

Who would want to prolong exposure to water like the way done in the video above. Occasional water immersion while short swim or submerging in water for a few seconds or a couple of minutes if very much fine. these guys are doing in depth analysis and are paid to do so, so i would suggest you do not follow their video and do the same. i have so far never exposed my phone to water for so long so it is fine for me and the rest of the oneplus 8 pro users.

Qwerty, 30 Oct 2021There’s no 110% waterproof smartphone, stupidity at its best LOLMine old phone lg v30 is waterproof i tested in sea, i take photo down in water, in addition it can withstand 30 minutes under water, and cost only 300€
One plus cost 600+ €
Now i know only reall phone to buy is American Korea Japan phone and maybe Dubai phones
All phones is fake specs with YouTubers increase them to buy people!

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2021Don't do that, see YouTube video is not water proof, is put water from speakersthis phone is perfectly waterproof. u dont expect one to put youtube video and go underwater. The phone is as good as my previous s10 and s8 which were both waterproof. Dont consider some insane videos who freeze the phone for a whole night. That to me is total rubbish. The phone is fine with water proofing such as an occasional swim or washing.

NIMZ, 04 Sep 2021I guess you must have received a faulty unit or there must be some apps installed which is cau... moreIts a known fact that Oneplus can not handle heating issues, their cooling solution is mediocore at best.
Pro tip: If you really want to have a OP device go for a midrange chipset (TDP no more than 5 watts) and pray for ARM / Qualcomm for low temperature while using for everyday tasks.
I got a OP N10 because it is the only device with an LCD panel and a low mid tier chipset (SD 690, TDP 6w)
