OnePlus 8 Pro to come with a 120Hz display

OnePlus Android Rumors

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7 Pro back in May this year with a 90Hz display. And at the launch event of the 7T in September, the company said that all its future smartphones will sport a 90Hz screen. This means the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will feature 90Hz displays. But if recent rumors are to be believed, the OnePlus 8 Pro will go a step further and get a 120Hz panel instead of a 90Hz one.

Industry tipster Max J. posted an image on Twitter with the caption "Be a 'pro'". Many thought he was teasing the Samsung Galaxy S11 with a 120Hz display, but to clear the confusion, he later confirmed that he was actually referring to OnePlus, which means the OnePlus 8 Pro will come with a 120Hz screen.

If this turns out to be true, then the OnePlus 8 Pro will be the first smartphone from the Chinese phone maker to boast a 120Hz display, since the company is unlikely to offer a 120Hz panel with the vanilla 8.

We are several months away from the unveiling of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, but we already got our first look at the pair last month. The two smartphones look similar and feature punch-hole displays, but the OnePlus 8 sports a triple camera setup while the Pro variant sports a quad camera.

No to the punch hole. Will wait for another generation. Elevating camera FTW. Value your privacy, enjoy truly bezzelless display. Samsung saw that punch hole is not a crowd favorite so I bet they are selling punched displays cheep. IMHO very bad mo...
