If I don't care about 120Hz refresh rate, which one should I choose between Oneplus 8T and Note 10 lite? Note 10 lite is significantly cheaper and fits my budget perfectly. I have to save for 2-3 months to get Oneplus 8t. The phone is obviously better than NOte 10 lite but is it worth the wait?
Dude468, 14 Dec 2020o, i did not know that, did u contact ur provider and if so what did they say?nevermind

So ... moreFirst of all, 5G services had already been rolled out and it's available all over the Middle East. Unfortunately none of these so called 5G phones of OnePlus can get 5G. The operator had confirmed that they had enabled 5G for my connection. So I contacted OnePlus team many time, and their response was so lame.
"We are working for a software update to fix this, but can't give a timeline by when it would get fixed!!"
In one of the talks they openly admitted that they had failed to fix this issue. It's all a matter of a software fix only.
Check the internet/ OnePlus forum's, you could see many people had raised this 5G issue and the response what OnePlus give is similar one's, that they are still working on it!!
To my knowledge 5G works with Verizon in US, as they both have tieups.
Critiquee, 09 Dec 2020I miss how cameras used to be on the center of the device. You can still get the ONEPLUS 8 or 8 PRO for similar amounts of money. They have the same (or very similar) camera systems, with a central camera unit. The aesthetic depends on your taste, as both boast the same features.

Im sorry to OnePlus, but i was seriously disappointed in the battery life of this phone.
Comming from a Redmi Note 8 Pro which easily lasts 2 days, OP8T could barely made it through the day.
And ive literally barely used it. 4h SoT and the battery was almost dead.
In the 5 days i had it ive tried different updates, tried thinkering with the settings, factory reset it, cleaned cache and data after update etc etc but nothing helped. (Look it up on the OnePlus forums, there are a dozen of users reporting the same.)
Seems like the always on screen just burns through the battery and i guess 120hz doesnt make it better either, but why would i buy this phone if have to turn of its key features.
Its a shame, i really wanted to love it but i gave it back after 5 days.
Dude468, 04 Dec 2020idk how to read those, its just numbers, i dont quite understand emWhat is your problem with the 5G bands? I can read them well. I will explain them to you.

Robert, 01 Dec 2020No 5G support for any operator in the middle East. Contacted OnePlus team and they keep on say... moreu dont understand, they put the 5G in it as future proofing for the phones mobile network. So when 5G rolls out in ur region, that means it will be able to take advantage of it and run 5G speeds. I don't think it has anything to do with the phone but has something to either do with ur carrier or plan that u r on.
(PS: i am not 100% sure whether your device will support both MM wave and Sub6 5G speeds cus its different as per regions/carriers)

No 5G support for any operator in the middle East. Contacted OnePlus team and they keep on saying it will get fixed, so far nothing. Wonder how they sell a phone stating it's 5G and you couldn't use the 5G services in it.
