OnePlus recently confirmed that the primary cameras on its OnePlus 9 series arriving on March 23 will use Sony's IMX789 sensor. Now the company has also revealed the ultrawide camera on the OnePlus 9 will use an IMX766 sensor.

The ultrawide camera will have 50MP resolution, and OnePlus says the unit will come with a freeform lens, which will reduce distortion from 20% to about 1%. OnePlus CEO Mr. Pete Lau even shared a couple of pictures on Twitter - one is captured with a conventional camera and has some distortion, while the other is taken with the IMX766 and has minimal distortion.

The OnePlus 9 series reportedly includes three smartphones - vanilla 9, 9 Pro, and 9E. OnePlus hasn't yet confirmed which model will feature the 50MP IMX766 ultrawide unit, but it is likely the Pro will have one since it will be the top-end model in the lineup.
thats a pretty far stretched statement lol i wouldn't say its league above zeiss , maybe on par.
Last time I checked there was a decent $50 usb adapter. Except it plugs into USB-C port so I cannot charge the phone while listening to music. And it is not rotate-able. And is easier to break (because it doesn't rotate). And is not really com...
Well looks like the best camera phone of the year but lets seee what doxmark will tell and say.
