The battery heats up once the camera is on. The clarity of the both rear and front cameras are below par (even oppo reno 3 dwarfs this phone on the camera aspect). I highly regret given the hype on it.
Davey, 29 Nov 2020How did you update your Nord to android 11 pls shareDon't worry you'll get the Android 11 update real soon!
"Never Settle"? Unfortunately this phone forces the user to settle on quite a number of things
Bought this phone when it first came out in Europe for €500. It was my first OnePlus purchase and it will be my last.
While many users have reported a great experience using this phone, my experience was very different. The biggest issues are:
- WhatsApp messages delayed - Frequently the phone will show a message saying 'Checking for messages' in WhatsApp. Then after a time, it syncs and receives a slew of messages. These WhatsApp time-outs/lags have been reported by hundreds of users on the OnePlus forums since the phone came out but OnePlus has not fixed the issue.
- Phone doesn't come with native music app and doesn't recognise playlists created outside of the phone. Terrible experience trying to rebuild my music library.
- User experience choosing default apps is terrible - it opens a settings menu in the middle of an action (e.g. clicking a LinkedIn link) that dumps the user in the menu with no way back to their original starting point. The language used in setting default apps is also not clear, very user unfriendly.
- Phone frequently reboots at random, with no rhyme or reason.
- Phone doesn't have a headphone jack, so you have to spend more money on a converter plug to use wired headphones.
It's a terrible phone. For a €500 phone I expected so much better.
You would be best to avoid this model and all other OnePlus phones as they clearly don't care about their customers.
I don't know, so many people has issues with the phone specially in india. I've been using nord about a month, I have no issues. Some people just don't understand things, 90Hz display drains more battery so that is why they offer you 60Hz option. I used nord with 90Hz about 9-11 hours.(just texting and browsing) with games its about 7-9 hours. If I turned off 90Hz I get more battery life. It's that simple.
There's a thing that never understand xiomi users.😌 Sometimes Specifications on the paper is just funny, because the software is the main thing, nord comes with a clean software like other oneplus devices, so there's nothing about xiaomi/ realme whatever they call🙊. So stock Android lovers has two option, they are pixel and oneplus, there is some down side with pixel, so oneplus is fine. while samsung's messing with there midrange exynos chipset.
Performance are higher as what you expect from a oneplus. Lot faster and smoother with 90Hz display.
With the camera, Main camera is great with OIS and everything. Ultra wide is just fine(not great). Depth and macro sensor are pretty useless specially macro one, it's so bad.
With Gcam you can take better pictures with main camera, that's for sure.
Overall, it's great with the price, I don't what they are doing in india, but the one I got is just work as it should be.
If you are tired with samsung oneui and bloatwares. This's a great option.( If you buy the correct one)

The Oneplus Nord in India supports only one 5G band i.e 78, so will its connectivity be restricted?. How will it compare with Moto G 5G that supports multiple 5G bands?.

Hey! Been using the device for three months. It is riddled with bugs. They removed the headphone jack, alright! but a really messed up Bluetooth connectivity. My Bluetooth is off yet volume control is changing bluetooth device volume, so no sound from my apps. Headphones get disconnected all by itself when receiving a call or switching app. Gaming is great till you encounter random issues such as volume control pop up stuck on the screen, refusing to budge while I'm playing. Ocassional System UI not responding. An incomplete product launched without proper testing.
