They had a whole presentation on how they fit the popup in the k30 pro and it cost them a lot of over engineering and space to fit it. I would personally have a smaller body size phone or more battery than a popup camera. Plus punch hole is better if you like using face unlock.

Ukszaro, 16 Apr 2020Dude, you understand the word limitation, if you want to pretend like a popup camera has zero ... moreI understand what you are saying; but for me personally, IP rating is not important at all(I don't use my phone in rain or in a shower), and I don't take selfies a lot either, which means by the time I switch my phone, the popup camera will still work. So I personally think pop-up cameras are superior.
When I heard that oppo find X series, oppo reno series, oneplus 8 series, etc. would be switching from pop-up to punch-hole, I was really mad. Especially at the find x, because that also meant removing 3d face unlock.
thePulsar16, 20 Apr 2020No optical zoom? No thanks.too was thinking the same but there are other options if
one prefers the optical zoom n this focuses to charging
Anonymous, 14 Apr 2020An Android phone without a big chin, and with symmetrical bezels?! I must be dreamingWtf are you talking about what other phones have big chins in this price range, even last year pjones were sexy looking phones
[deleted post]Regardless of the fact, I'm English, and just type up my comments in 3 mins during a break at work. My point of you being racist is due to your remarks of people who don't speak your own language/ arent from your country another example of how you CURRENTLY can't handle people different from yourself. I'm NOT trying to disprove you or tell you all your points are wrong, I CAN agree with some of your points, I'm not one-sided at all. My problem is you don't understand people don't share ALL the same viewpoint of you on everything. To some missing out on a small bit of the screen for a camera doesn't bother a lot of people, sure there are more advancements to be done, but people can live with it for now. Sure a pop-up camera isn't bad, never said it was, but just like a tiny dot on the phone screen can annoy some people really badly, the idea of moving parts in something that doesn't require moving parts/ the idea of having to wait each time you want to take a picture for the camera to popup can annoy people too, I get they are small problems, but to different people, a small problem can be a big problem, I don't personally mind either design, I feel work can be done to make a design that is flawless, and I would personally say in my opinion neither design is flawless and without improvements that could be made. "one-sided opinions are unfair. My point is completely fair."...You point isn't wrong about the camera design, if to you having every pixel of the screen dedicated to the display is very important to you (I don't disagree with that point if that is what is most important to you), just like if someone said they would rather go with the dot in the screen because it's currently cheaper to the manufacturer/ more choice in devices/ they don't want to wait for the popup, as instant self-portraits are more important for them at this moment in time/ or maybe they just don't want moving parts for the off chance it breaks and the only way to get it replaced it to ship it back to China. Sure they do tons of test I've seen them, one plus does very good testing as far as I know, but your gonna pay for it in the price, and just like all things that are made with moving parts that don't need to be they are seen as a flaw in the design that doesn't need to be there. But just to reiterate I don't think that the dot design is better, and I don't think that the popup is bad, people can have whatever opinions they want about either based on their view of what is important, both have clear limitations that is a fact. I neither regard this phone as being the best or the worst, it is merely another phone in the market, but its competition for other brands, another reason for them to decide whether or not to decrease the price of their phone or not, you don't need to have more popup camera phones to bring down the price of popup camera phones, the competition between the x2 pro and the k20 pro caused both phones to lower their prices. As for your point about not being able to get the camera design phone you want, I'm sorry about that and hope one day you will be able to get the phone that best suits you.
Ukszaro, 16 Apr 2020Dude, you understand the word limitation, if you want to pretend like a popup camera has zero ... more"but that phone is bout $100-250 the price of a phone with the same specs" Yeah sorry bud we speak English here.
"with maybe a slightly worse pixel to screen ratio." Yeah sorry bud I didn't understand what you said before and I sure as heck don't understand what you're saying here.
"To get to the point they have to spend more money, time, resources to ensure the popup is waterproof compared to other design methods (that means its not a perfect design)" Sure bud. The OnePlus 7 Pro which had the best specs on the market at the time it launched, while still managing to undercut the price of every other flagship on the market from all the main brands, had its cost affected by the waterproofing pop up camera with the couple cent rubber seals. Great logic.
"before you say oh well there's no perfect design, I agree at the moment every design camera wise has flaws I said that in the last message, but you just gloss over that. My point is not to act like the popup is a perfect design" Nah it's practically perfect.
"both have flaws and I would argue that they're very 50/50 in terms of who would go for which (different people have different views on what they deem more of a flaw to them)." Sorry bud but as we've seen those people with different views are wrong.
"secondly, you say the k30 pro will be some how massively better priced, perhaps it will be, going off this sites specs of that device though it says that the k30 pro is only a 60hz screen, which for a 2020 device isn't great" Ah yes point out the only considerable flaw and use that as a reason for people to not buy the phone, when this phone has countless more flaws for me to point out. The punch hole. The pretty significantly inferior cameras. The much smaller battery. The LACK OF A HEADPHONE JACK.
Oh and I just realized. This Ace2 doesn't have an IP rating itself! So why would you ever bring that up?
"realme x2 pro which you can search on this site (I would argue) has just as good specs 855" Are you comparing that to the K30 Pro in your very poorly worded argument? Because if so you're wrong right off the bat. You said it yourself, the x2 Pro has the 855, not the 865 that the K30 Pro has.
"I feel like you just have a massive bias, and for some unfound reason" No. The definition of bias is "prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair." I am not being fair and the definition of prejudice is "preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience" and I have my reasoning behind my argument as I've shown.
I will force my point (I'm not calling it an opinion in this case) when it is very clearly right. Your argument makes you look just like the people arguing against including the headphone jack on new phones.
joe nodden, 12 Apr 2020(1) Ok then throw out your PC, throw out your ceiling fan, throw out your car, throw out half ... moreDude, you understand the word limitation, if you want to pretend like a popup camera has zero flaws, cool you do that, but don't force your opinions on others as though they are facts, one plus 7 pro works hard to ensure it is waterproof, but doesn't want to pay the extra for iprating but that phone is bout $100-250 the price of a phone with the same specs, with maybe a slightly worse pixel to screen ratio. To get to the point they have to spend more money, time, resources to ensure the popup is waterproof compared to other design methods (that means its not a perfect design), before you say oh well there's no perfect design, I agree at the moment every design camera wise has flaws I said that in the last message, but you just gloss over that. My point is not to act like the popup is a perfect design and force your opinions as facts, both have flaws and I would argue that they're very 50/50 in terms of who would go for which (different people have different views on what they deem more of a flaw to them). secondly, you say the k30 pro will be some how massively better priced, perhaps it will be, going off this sites specs of that device though it says that the k30 pro is only a 60hz screen, which for a 2020 device isn't great, the oppo reno ace, UK version realme x2 pro which you can search on this site (I would argue) has just as good specs 855, 90hz screen, 8gn ram ufs3 128 storage, Dolby speakers, 50w charging, pretty much same spec cameras, just minus the 5g for £330=£411. So not a stupid price at all, as you are making it out to be, I feel like you just have a massive bias, and for some unfound reason want everyone to have the exact same views as you on your one-sided views, and if they don't fall in line, they are the stupid ones for thinking differently or having a different view of what they deem a flaw, or what they deem important. State your opinion cool, don't force it.

joe nodden, 15 Apr 2020If you don't want to deal with me then admit you're in the wrong here. No I wouldn't, cuz I am saying the truth and you are not dealing with it.
Azo, 15 Apr 2020Just cut the crap, seen nerds like you, buff off.If you don't want to deal with me then admit you're in the wrong here.
Azo, 15 Apr 2020Ok then don't come here crying about the jack, its gone now and all major flagship phones will... moreOk then don't come here crying about the jack being "old tech". Even if it were gone it's better than what you call "new tech". Not every company has abandoned it so I won't settle for trash like this.
And nobody cares about your country here m8 there's no sense in talking about it. Judging by the way you type, English isn't your first language. Meaning you come from a country where English isn't the dominant language, meaning 99% of the people on this website don't live there and don't care about what goes on there.
