Anonymous, 10 Dec 2016they don't share, they have commercial dealing with oppo electronics, and any time in future, ... moreI believe both companies under question do not produce any hardware components used in phones. They both may also have common sources from where they procure components to design and build phones.
What I was actually referring was the external design, casing & metal frames used in both Oppo F1s and Vivo V5. They look identical, their physical buttons are in identical position even the camera positions are identical. To any common man V5 looks like a beefed up F1s with a better front cam and Vivo logo replacing Oppo!!!

Feeling happy to buy this beautiful beast. Cheers!!!
RishiGuru, 09 Dec 2016With all due respect you will never complain about F1 Plus until you have experienced much bet... more I have compaired both, and f1plus Hardware excellent, software awesome, and camera is phenomenal, all in all f1 plus is much better than crap v3max. It has serious overheating and battery drains like hell. And it's camera is a shame. F1 plus is best.

Commercial relationship is not worng because even apple buys some parts from Samsung. Sony sales it's camera sensor. It's all under rules. It all is purely commercial dealing, and if one company wants to have something more, then it can separate and tie-up with another dealer. That is pure business man.

I just don't understand if Vivo & Oppo are staunch opponents in the market, why do they even share their hardware. It does take much to realize the that Vivo V5 and Oppo F1s are both made from the same mold and they look identical.

I own both and let me tell you V3Max is miles ahead, be it hardware performance, software optimization or audio quality. Camera quality is same but the good news is Vivo is way cheaper and a true VFM product.
F1 plus is a really goodphone, I have already used it for almost 4 months and the phone run smoothly, never hang, never overheat , the screen is amazing, all signal are very good ( data, wifi, gps), the material quality is amazing and I am really happy with this phone....no complain.
RishiGuru, 07 Dec 2016For your kind information, OnePlus belongs to Oppo. Basically when you buy a OnePlus, you are ... moreNo. Oneplus, oppo vivo all are separate branches of bbk group of electronics and all are completely separate brands, all having just one similarity i.e. they have one common electronic equipment investment company, oppo electronics which has no relationship with oppo mobile company. Oppo electronics only has purely business related relationship with Oneplus and oppo. Oneplus also is looking for an another investment company, like LG, HTC. Oppo vivo and Oneplus are pure rivals in smartphone market. They almost hate each other. Even, Oneplus was created by some former oppo executives due to business related serious misunderstanding between them and other oppo mobile executives. So the are completely rivals in market.

Join Oppo's marketing, that would be better for your future I think.
New user of Oppo phone and have F1 Plus after using all big brands. No doubt this phone has extremely well battery performance if we compare to any other good brand.
Camera quality is also better and overall performance is satisfactory.

RishiGuru, 02 Dec 2016With all due respect, I dont see Oppo F1 Plus being targeted to power or heavy users in any wh... moreOne plus is not the online version of oppo, it is a completely separate and independent brand. I know some people are still saying it as a subsidiary of oppo but that's completely wrong. Vivo, oppo, Oneplus are separate branches of bbk electronics company. The only technical relation is that all 3 use parts for their gadgets from one common investment electronic company, named oppo electronics which has no relationship with oppo mobile company apart from business and of course, it's name. Although Oneplus was created by some former oppo executives, it has nothing with oppo and these 3 are rivals in smartphone industry. Even, Oneplus was created due to business and tactics tension between the executives. Oneplus is also going to separate from oppo electronics completely to set LG, HTC as its electronic part investors, only for business purpose. This relationship is similar to that of Samsung and Sony in which Samsung buys camera sensors from Sony and dominates it in smartphone industry. So there is nothing wrong with that. This is all business
Ris, 02 Dec 2016i am a samsung user eversince but when i started using Oppo, highly recommended for a heavy userWith all due respect, I dont see Oppo F1 Plus being targeted to power or heavy users in any which way. And I say this being an owner of Oppo F1 Plus. This phone comes with a so-so Mediatek P10 chipset, which is not quite powerful for a power user.
Get Oppo's online version, know for OnePlus 3. Great phone for power users with ultra powerful Snapdragon 820 for the same price of F1Plus. Even my much cheaper Vivo V3Max is three times better than F1 Plus.
