The Oppo Find X2 was supposed to be unveiled on February 22 (this Saturday), but since the MWC was canceled, the event was pushed back to March. Still, the phone is ready to go and it may have slipped out from under the covers, appearing at an online retailer in Vietnam (listed by the official Oppo account).
The phone features a 6.5” AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 6 on top. However, the images show the original Find X as the sequel has a punch hole selfie cam. This front camera has a 32MP sensor. And while it’s not listed in the specs, the screen should have 120Hz refresh rate
Around the back is a 48MP main cam, plus 13MP and 8MP modules with unknown function (one of them seems to have an ultrawide angle lens). The main camera can record 2160p@30fps video as well as 1080p@240fps and 720p@960fps slow-motion clips.
There’s no word on the chipset, but the company has officially confirmed that the Oppo Find X2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 865. The base configuration has 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage, though we’ve seen benchmarks with 12GB of RAM so there will be options.
The battery capacity is listed as 4,065mAh, unfortunately there are no details on charging – the phone is expected to boast 30W wireless charging along with 65W Super VOOC 2.0 wired charging.
On the connectivity side, there’s only 4G though 5G versions should be available in countries that have next-generation networks. The chassis of the phone is metal, sandwiched between tempered glass. Only 3D face unlock is mentioned, there’s nothing about a fingerprint reader.
The price of the Oppo Find X2 is listed as VND 40,000,000, which works out to a hefty $1,700. That seems to be just a placeholder, though, as even the Oppo Reno 10x zoom has an MSRP of half that (and is currently discounted to VND 15,600,000). Two color options are listed: Blue Ocean and Blue Sea Night, but there are no images of either.
That's a great news ! Sadly it won't feature any 3D facial recognition AFAIK, that's sad because this is one of the biggest advantage of the pop up, being able to put lots of sensors without taking screen space, and the more sensors, the less relativ...
Redmi K30 Pro 5G, based on SD865, will come with a pop-up camera for Selfie.
