Oppo Android Rumors

The upcoming Find X8 family from Oppo will apparently come with magnetic wireless charging, similar to Apple's MagSafe. This rumor comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, a prolific source of information regarding Chinese smartphone makers.

Thus, it looks like Oppo will be aping more than just the Camera Control button from Apple for this year's flagships. Oppo is also expected to release an entire ecosystem of accessories and chargers that will use the magnetic technology, just like Apple.

Not just that, but the Find X8 models will have a Dynamic Island of their own, to make the Apple imitation even worse. Xiaomi has also developed a 30W 'ultra-thin' magnetic wireless charger, but it's unclear if it's meant for its upcoming phones or not. We assume that's a yes, but weirdly DCS has only mentioned the Oppo phones by name.

The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are both going to be powered by MediaTek's incoming Dimensity 9400 chipset. They are expected to launch in October.

The amount of imbeciles here calling it a "copy", know nothing about the development cycle abs lead times for such things. Oppo must have decided on the button at least 8-10 months ago. These things are designed, developed and prototyped at...
