Cameras are still improving since new technologies are introduced into the smartphone world, like variable aperture, switchable lenses (Huawei P80 Ultra), bigger sensors with better light capture etc. It is the "big three" that you mentione...
It would have been better if they release the 1tb or 2tb storage option globally just like the iPhone 17 pro max.
